Hello readers! It’s time for a WWW Wednesday post. I also have a bit of news. I’m pregnant! This is my first pregnancy, and I’m currently 14 weeks along.
This pregnancy wasn’t exactly planned, but I am still very excited. I had a little bit of a dip in motivation during my first trimester, but I really am feeling better.
If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.
The Good Samaritan follows Laura, who works at a suicide hotline. She is different from the other people who work there. She enjoys driving suicidal people into doing it.
We also get a bit of her life’s backstory, and one of the victim’s family members is onto her.
I’ve been meaning to get to The Good Samaritan for a few months, but I’ve only been reading graphic novels lately. In the past few years, I read Marrs’ newest book. His 2026 book, Dead in the Water, was released in January. But I heard this book was connected to it, so I wanted to get to it first.
The last book I finished is the 5th book in the Amulet series. This is a graphic novel series following two siblings. The two of them and their mom move to a house that was owned by a distant relative. When their mom gets taken into this alternative world through a door in the basement by an alien-like creature, they go after her to save her.
This has been a fun series to read through. I’m about halfway done with it now. I love the story, the art style, and the cast of characters. It seems like we are always meeting new ones.
Assuming I really like The Good Samaritan, which I do so far, I will be reading Dead in the Water.
This one follows Damon, who wakes up after nearly drowning with no memory of who he is. He digs into his past while trying to remember what he has forgotten.
He then decides to remember his past, he must die over and over. Then he meets someone who is very eager to help him.
