Hello readers! It’s time to go over some books and remove them from my TBR. In the last one, I went over the first books in series I haven’t started yet on my Want to Read shelf, and this one is a continuation of that. Honestly, this will most likely be the next 1 or 2 as well. I have a TON to go over.
Last time, we ended with 211 books and are starting with 215.

The Girl Who Kept the Castle is a middle grade fantasy series. I don’t honestly know anything about it outside of that.
I am going to go ahead and remove this one because I don’t know anything about it. I don’t remember why I added it in the first place. Therefore, the likelihood of me getting to it anytime soon is low.
Dark Moon: The Blood Alter is a book series called a manhwa, which is the Korean version of a manga. This one is the book version of Enhypen’s lore, which is a K-pop group.
In their storyline, they are vampires. In these books, they go to a boarding school where they are secretly vampires. A new girl comes to the school who has magical abilities.
I have read quite a bit of this book on Webtoon, but I want to get them physically. I really hate reading books on my phone, and there isn’t a Webtoon app for the Kindle.
This company has storylines for many of their groups, including BTS and TXT, and they are all slowly being published into physical books.
The Ending Fire trilogy is a fantasy series where people have different colors of blood: “Red is the blood of the elite, of magic, of control. Blue is the blood of the poor, of workers, of the resistance. Clear is the blood of the slaves, of the crushed, of the invisible.”
It follows three women, who I believe are all three in different factions of this society, while they try to bring it down.
I absolutely want to read this one still. I don’t know why I haven’t yet! I’ve heard nothing but really good things about it, so I won’t be removing it anytime soon.
The Heartbreakers is a YA romance following a teen girl and a guy in a band. I am not against reading YA at all, but I really don’t want to read YA romance. Now that I’m in my 30’s, it feels too immature for me, which is fine. It’s not for me.
The Love Interest is also a YA romance series. This one has superheroes in it, so that is at least interesting.
I just don’t see myself reading either of these, knowing they are YA romances.
The Glitter Bats series is a romance following two former band members. This is another one I don’t remember adding and therefore don’t think I’d actually read it.
Looking at the description on Goodreads, it’s also a second-chance romance, which I really dislike 99% of the time.
I’m wondering if I entered a giveaway for this one. I don’t do it as much anymore, but in 2023 and 2024, I would enter 20+ giveaways a month of random books.
Cosmic Chaos is a scifi romance series. I can’t lie, I only added it because I love these crazy titles. I still want to try it and see how I feel.
This one looks like it’s a retelling of The Wizard of Oz. It follows Dorothy, who’s a biologist and is abducted by aliens. She also has a pet lion named Toto.
Have you read these? They don’t have the best ratings, but they seem fun and chaotic.
Homegrown Magic is a cozy fantasy following Yael, who is feeling pressured by his family’s business, and Margot, who is a green witch. Yael helps Margot out with her farm and greenhouse.
I am on the fence about this one. I don’t really feel that pulled toward cozy fantasy. I know it’s very popular, and everyone seems to love it, but I never feel drawn to read it.
I think I’m going to remove this one for now, and if I hear amazing things about it down the line, I might add it back.
Ring is a horror where if the person watches this certain videotape, they will die. I have seen every one of these movies, and I thought reading the source would be fun.
I still want to get to this one some time down the line. Japanese horror is always very unique and interesting, so I really want to try it.
The Kingdom of Lies is a fantasy fae romance series. I think I heard about this one from Booktok. In this book, humans are born with magical abilities that are stolen when they are born. If one of them is able to keep their power, they will be burned in adulthood if anyone finds out.
I just don’t feel called to this book. I don’t think I would actually get around to reading it. If I do read romance, it isn’t commonly fantasy romance. So, I’m going to go ahead and remove this one.
