Blogger Stats Book Tag

Hello readers! It’s time for another book tag. I did this one 5 years ago now, so I thought I could do it again. I love books and stats, so I think this will be super fun.

The Blogger Stats Book Tag was created by Always Trust in Books, so make sure to check out their post!

Don’t forget to check out my Book Tag Masterlist for the 100+ book tags I’ve done before this one!

The last three books I finished were Amulet books 4 and 5, and The Good Samaritan.

I am hoping this next month to finally finish the Amulet series. I have all the books out from the library, I just need to sit down and read them.

This may be odd, but I do look up spoilers sometimes. I don’t like finding them by accident, though.

Sometimes, if I really love a character in a show or book, I will look up if that character dies. I actually did this recently with a book I read in 2026. I can’t help it sometimes. I’ll just get so attached to that one character, and I need to know if I’m going to be devastated or not.

I’ve also spoiled the ending of books so I can DNF them, which I think a lot of people do.

I am almost to my 6th Blogiversary! I started blogging back in August of 2020. I have had my ups and downs, and my life has changed a lot. But I am still going strong and don’t plan to quit anything soon.

I’ve read quite a few books in one sitting this year. I keep doing this thing where I wait until 1 or 2 days before my books are due, and then I binge-read all of them at one time.

I specifically read the first Animal Crossing book in one sitting on the way to the library. I really have to stop doing that to myself! 😅

This was such a silly manga. I am not really sure who this is intended for. It has very classic chibi vibes and is very goofy, but I believe most fans of this game are adults. It’s not something I am super attached to, but it is cute and entertaining. It’s so fun to see your favorite characters in the game, too.

I am not sure. I read so broadly as far as genres go. I do love portal fantasy a lot. It is my preferred type of fantasy. I just love exploring the world with the character instead of being dropped in the middle of something.

I also love literary fiction! I love middle grade and adult literary fiction. But I have to be in the right mindset for it. I just go through different phases of genres all the time, so my favorites are usually whatever I’m reading at the time.

I love big books. I put a lot of effort in 2025 to get back into reading big books. This year, I’ve been reading a bunch of graphic novels, so that isn’t working the same way.

I just noticed through the 2020s that I started reading shorter and shorter books. I used to love immersing myself in the biggest books I could find. And I thought doing that again would help me find my love for reading again.

I’m just very picky about book length. A book needs to feel just right. Not too many pages or too few.

I have about 95 books on my physical TBR at the moment.

The last book I DNF’d was Half His Age. I was so excited for this book to come out. I started listening to it as soon as I could. And I hated it. I would say this is the worst book I’ve read in all of 2026.

I can’t remember exactly how much I had left of the book. I was trying to force myself to finish it because I had read more than half, and it is a shorter book. I think I had about 30% left when I stopped listening.

I ended up looking up the ending online, so I knew what happened and stopped listening to it. Everything was bad about this book, from the writing to the characters. I don’t know what McCurdy’s intention was with this book, but I was not picking up on it. I expected the vibe of My Dark Vanessa, and this was far from that.

This book was so off-putting to me that I have decided I will not be reading anything else she writes in the future.

I’ve reached a few new milestones in 2026. First, I made it to over 1k views in a month, twice. Before January 2026, I only cracked 600 views in a month once. I also reached 30,000 views in 2026!

Another milestone I’ll be reaching is 6 years of blogging. I never knew when I started my blog how much I would love doing it and how long it’d be in my life.

I would say with Arianna Isabella, who is an indie author. She did send me an ARC of her first book. But it isn’t that.

When I started going through everything that I was in 2024, she would message me on TikTok every once in a while, just checking in or sending me silly videos. It was something so small, but it meant a lot to me at the time.

In 2026, my average is 4 per month. It was about 2.5 books a month in 2024 and 2025, so I am improving! I am slowly reading more and more, which has made me happy. Before 2024, my average was 10 or more.

Graphic Audio, Tor, and probably Scholastic.

I still share my posts across a few platforms, including Twitter and Tumblr. Over the past two years, I’ve spent a lot of time on Pinterest. It’s the social media that drives the most traffic to my blog besides Facebook.

I don’t spend a lot of time networking in 2026. I did a lot in the past, mostly before 2024. I do try to still participate as much as I can.

I usually blog in my bed or at my little desk. I have a gaming chair and a TV tray that I do most of my typing on for my blog and schooling. I actually got a new chair for Christmas last year. It’s one of those gaming chairs you see on YouTube, and it is white. It reclines and everything, which is so nice (and it’s also helping me improve my posture when typing or gaming).

I usually write while playing videos in the background. I think music is too distracting. You might not believe this, but I used to listen to books and write blog posts at the same time! I have no idea how I concentrated on both things at once.

If I can’t focus on what I’m writing for the blog or college, I’ll put on ASMR. My current favorite is Maeve ASMR.

Honest thoughts, omnivorous reader, discussions

One Blogger I looked up to starting out was Lous Book Stuff. She quit blogging around two years after I started, though.

Unfortunately, many of the bloggers I really enjoyed reading when I started no longer exist. I have watched too many bloggers quit over the years.

Take breaks! I’ve taken breaks by scheduling them in or when my life gets a little hectic. There is nothing wrong with taking a week or a month off here and there.

If you keep forcing yourself to post when you don’t want to or are burnt out, you might just end up quitting.

Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨

  1. Fun post! There’s so many bloggers I miss reading on here.

Taking breaks is probably why I’ve managed to stick it out. Also, I’m the same with spoilers, especially when it comes to TV shows, I just can’t help myself 😂😂😂
