Down the TBR Hole 4 (2026)

Down the TBR Hole - removing old TBR books from Goodreads list 2026

Hello readers! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole post. This time, I’ll be going over books that are in a series I’ve already started and deciding if I want to keep or remove them.

I will both be clearing out my Want to Read shelf and deciding on continuing some series. I will be skipping over books I had mentioned in the past 2 posts to reduce repetition.

We are starting with 212 books. I’ve already removed 60 books in the last 4 posts! This round has already done better than any of the previous ones.

What Feasts at Night is the 2nd book in the Sworn Soldier series.

I read book one quite a few years ago. It was a very short horror book, but it really packed a punch. I still hope to get to the sequel. I have no idea when I will, but I’m optimistic.

Cages and Crowns is the 2nd book in The Diadem.

Book one of this series was one I read as an ARC. I really loved it and just haven’t gotten around to reading book two.

This series is very grimdark with romance elements. It reminded me a lot of Game of Thrones, but it only follows one person. I would HIGHLY recommend reading any content warnings before going into this series if you are considering. But it is very good.

Prince of Ruin is the 2nd book in the Wayward Sovereigns series.

This is another one that I read book one as an ARC. This one is a very complicated and chaotic fantasy romance series. I never know how to explain it because so much was going on all at once.

I just don’t know if I will ever get around to this one at this point in time. It’s been so long that I know I’d need to reread book one, and I don’t know if I want to do that.

Two Purple Gloves is the 2nd book in the A Pear Street Christmas series.

The third one in a row that is a sequel to one I read as an ARC. I LOVED book one in this series. I just haven’t read any Christmas books the past few years. I absolutely need to get to this in 2026!

And a Partridge on Pear Street is a brother’s best friend romance following Nel, who comes to see her brother for Christmas, and Jake, her brother’s childhood best friend she has known her whole life.

The Lost Symbol is the 3rd book in the Robert Langdon series.

This is a series I have put on hold for too long. I own the whole series and have for probably six years now. I think it’s time to finish the series.

The first book, Angels and Demons, follows Robert Langdon when he goes to Vatican City to solve a series of murders. Each other book has a different cult element, and this one is the Illuminati.

Midnight Sun is the 5th book in the Twilight series. Book series seems to be the theme of this Down the TBR Hole.

This is one that I also own. I hope to get to it one day, but it isn’t at the top of my priority list. I read recently that Meyer has two more books planned for the Twilight series, which is crazy!

Are you planning to read any new Twilight books? I don’t know if I can love them the way I did when I was a teenager, but I might give them a try.

Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
