Hello readers! Can you believe it is almost half way through June? 2020 just passed as slow as it could and 2021 is passing by in a flash.
Today I have some summer book releases I’m excited for! I think this is the shortest list that I have thus far, but I am super excited for all 5 books listed here! This is more of a quality over quantity kind of post and I actually have ARCs for 2 of the books.

I first heard of this book from Netgalley. Despite the popularity of this author, I have yet to read anything by him. I just saw this title and decided I wanted to read it.
It book is about a group of 6 women who meet up together and they all have one thing in common, they are all final girls. The story takes off when one of the girls goes missing. I think this sounds really similar to Final Girls by Riley Sagar, which is a book I didn’t love. However, I think this concept could be done well by someone other than Sagar.
I really enjoyed House of Salt and Sorrows by this author, so I decided to try this one. I do have an ARC from Netgalley, so I’ll be picking this one up very soon. Erin A. Craig has said this is a loose retelling of Rumpelstiltskin. Despite the light and fluffy cover, this book is a dark historical fiction, where monsters lurk in the woods outside of a small town and come out to kill people. I’m excited and I know I will love it if it is anything like her previous book.
This one is a romance, which is not usually my jam. HOWEVER, it is centered around food. I love books that involve cooking, baking, and any kind of cooking/baking competition.
In this one, both Dominic and Sylvie are competing on a baking competition to make a cake for Princess Rose. So, it is a rivals to lovers type of story. I’m super excited to pick this one up, are you?
This is a middle grade book about a girl who loves music and would one day like to be a pianist. Her father suddenly loses his job and they have to move into a new, tiny apartment. Because her dad lost his job, she can no long go to piano lessons, as they don’t have the money.
One of the neighbor kids tells her about a local hideout only the kids know about and finds a mysterious pen pal. She is on a journey to find her mystery pen pal, while also raising funds for her future music career.
This one comes out on the last day of summer and is about a man who suddenly dies. The reaper who comes to collect him gives him one week to live his life to the fullest, which is something he never did in his short existence.
This is the other book I have an ARC for. This is the one I am most excited for, and I think I’m going to love it. It is on my TBR for June, so keep an eye out for my thoughts at the end of the month.
