Hello readers, and happy Spring! It’s time to talk about new releases for Spring 2026 that I am super excited to get to. I have 5 books to talk about in this post, one of which I have an ARC for.
I know I’m a little late on this post, but I’m still excited to post it! I usually post my anticipated reads for the season before the season starts. However, let’s jump into it!
What are you looking forward to for Spring 2026?

Infinite Sadness of Small Appliances was one I couldn’t pass up once I saw it! I requested an ARC and got it the same day! I love this type of story that follows robot characters.
In this story, we follow a sentient Roomba named Scout when the humans and robots have to work together to overcome loss and something called The Grid, which monitors all households.
This sort of gives me the vibe of Brave Little Toaster and Up mixed. I’m so excited to get to it!

Subtle Art of Folding Space is a scifi book where the main character, Ellie, has to save the universe while battling family problems and her mother being in a coma.
I really liked the title and the cover, so I thought I might as well give it a shot. I do not read enough scifi stand alone books.

Japanese Gothic is absolutely my most anticipated book of 2026. Kylie Lee Baker wrote Bat Eater last year, which I really liked. I didn’t love the ending of it, but I do think this author has a lot of talent in this genre.
Japanese Gothic is a gothic horror that takes place in 1877 and 2026. In 2026, we follow Lee Turner, who has to flee New York after killing his roommate. He has no memory of doing this. He flies to Japan to his father’s new home, which is very eerie. No animals will come near it, and he keeps seeing a woman with a sword.
In 1877, we follow a samurai named Sen who hides from imperial soldiers in the same house. Her father comes home from war, but she knows it isn’t really him. She starts to see a man outside her window.

Molka is a horror novel. The term molka in Korean means hidden spy camera. This is a large issue in Korea, and also Japan.
We follow Dahye, who begins a romance with a multi-millionaire named Hyukjoon. They end up being caught on a spycam, so Hyukjoon flees the country. This leaves Dahye to deal with the fallout on her own.
She also meets another man named Junyoung, who seems friendly, but is also a big user of spycams.

Perfect Enough is the sequel to a middle-grade novel called Good Different. In Good Different, we follow Selah, who is battling with being an undiagnosed autistic girl in school.
In Perfect Enough, Selah is doing better than before and is headed off to writing camp for the summer. While there, she meets Ezra, who keeps bullying her.
She is battling with Ezra, a new environment, and a world that really doesn’t understand her fully.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
