Hello readers! It’s time to do a bit of an update on my reading goals. You guys know I haven’t been reading much at all, so my reading goals have been on the back burner.

But, I know you guys really enjoy my updates, so I’m going to do one anyhow.

Goal 1: Goodreads Goal

So, I thought 2024 was going to be my best reading year. And, because of that, I set it at 200.

Now, I’m 100% sure I won’t hit it. I’m 35 books behind! I think I’m going to lower it to 100 for now and we will adjust it again at the halfway point. I swear, I changed my reading goal in 2023 3 or 4 times total. So, I don’t mind changing it a lot this year.

Goal 2: Disability Rep

This goal was to read more books with disability rep. I read 2 books in January out of 15 that had disability rep in them. Was that amazing? No, but once I start reading again, I think I’ll do better.

I didn’t really have a number or percent I wanted to hit, but I’d at least like to do better than 2023. I read 16 books with disability rep in 2023, only 10% of my reading.

Goal 3: Sanderson

Well, my goal was to read one book by him every month. I did do that in January, but haven’t read one since. I will start this back up when I’m reading again.

I’m going to read the last book in Mistborn era 2, and then the two secret project books that I currently own. But, I’m still not ready to get back into it.

Goal 4: Finishing Series

My goal here was to finish 24 series. I have not finished even one series this year. I did however start 3 or so.

I don’t think I’ll make it to 24 in 2024, but I hope I can get at least a few done later this year.

Goal 5: Review Indie Books

I honestly forgot I made this goal. It was to review most if not all the indie books I read on Amazon. I suppose I can go back and do it, but I don’t think I’ve done even one this year.

Goal 6: ARCs

This one was to read 50 ARCs. I am honestly so upset about this. I had a few I was supposed to get to in February and I just couldn’t. I read MOST of one, so I probably could push myself through them if I really try.

I hope these indie authors aren’t upset with me over this. Two of them are ones I know pretty well, so I know I disappointed them. I just didnt know how this year was going to go for me.
