Hello readers! It’s time for a reading update. I have been reading like crazy this week! I’ve read 6 books so far this week. Most of them were graphic novels, but it’s still a big deal for me. Half of those were books I own! I am really working on whittling down my TBR this month.
If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

I started Act, which is the third book in the Click series. The Click is a middle-grade, contemporary graphic novel series.
In this one, Olive notices some kids in her grade can’t go to the school field trip. She aims to win a spot on the school council to change the rules for the kids who couldn’t go.
Both the previous books, Click and Camp, were great stories. Olive is such a great character to follow. She is sometimes unsure, but still faces problems head-on.

Mr. Lemoncello’s Very First Game is a prequel to the Mr. Lemoncello series. We follow Luigi as a kid when he first discovers his love of games. It was interesting to follow his character as a child to learn more about his backstory.
I also really like that we got a backstory to the rivalry we see between him and Charles Chiltington. Once you get to the second half of the series, the Chiltington family becomes part of the main storyline. We sort of learn why they hate each other, but this gives more of the backstory of their lifelong rivalry.
I would say, as far as the mystery elements go, they aren’t as prominent as in the actual series, but there are still some here. This is more focused on giving the backstory of Luigi Lemoncello, and where it all started.

I just got the audiobook for the Middle Grade March group book, Max in the House of Spies. This is a middle-grade mystery series following a Jewish boy named Max and two mythical creatures as they find their way home to Berlin during WWII by attempting to become a British spy.
WWII is one of those historical events I usually enjoy reading. However, I get weary about following fictional Jewish characters during the Holocaust because some of the books will heavily misrepresent the time period, and I find that disrespectful.
However, I think this one will be okay. I like the twist it’s taking on the historical fiction genre, so I am optimistic for the most part.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
