Alli the Book Giraffe

Hello readers! Yesterday’s post was a book haul, and today we are unhauling some books. Most of these books are ones I’ve read and now decided I don’t like enough to keep.

This doesn’t helpy my physical TBR much at all, but it does clear some space for new books!

I started From Blood and Ash back in August and read about 60% of it. I was enjoying it for the most part, but life got in the way, and I ended up putting it down. I fully intended to go back to it, but I really haven’t had the urge to.

I am unhauling this book. If I ever do feel like finishing it, I have the audiobook of it on Audible. But I don’t think that will be any time soon.

Killers of a Certain Age is a mystery book I read back in December. If follows some women who are ready to retire from being assassins when a hit is put out on them.

This book wasn’t bad, just not what I expected. It has a cozy mystery vibe to it, which is not what I was expecting. I know this is my fault for assuming what it would be, but the result is the same.

I finally got around to reading book two in the Supernatural Investigations series, and I really didn’t love it.

After looking at reviews of book three, I don’t think I’ll continue in this series.

So, I decided to go ahead and unhaul both books. This is so sad for me because I genuinely loved the first book in this series, and I thought the series would be a favorite.

I received a hardcover edition of Holly for Christmas this year. I already had it, but it was in paperback. So, I am unhauling the paperback I already have.

Holly is the 3rd book in the Holly Gibney series, which is a sequel series to the Bill Hodges series. I really hope to start this series in 2026. I don’t actually own book one, only books 2 and 3.

I really love Holly’s character! She is autistic, and I love the representation in this series.
