November Wrap Up 2025: Blogmas Day 2

Hello readers! Welcome to Blogmas day 2. Today I’m going to go over the books I read in November. I haven’t done a wrap up post since July! However, I managed to finish two books in November.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

I gave this one a three, but I see it as like a 3.5. It wasn’t my favorite John Marrs book I’ve read, but I didn’t dislike it. It had a lot of twists and turns, which was interesting. But it was also very different from anything else he has done.

You Killed Me First follows three women who all have a lot of secrets and we slowly find them all out. Weirdly enough, the beginning of the book takes place on November 5th and I started it on the 4th.

I think if you love twisty thrillers, this is for you. I just missed the scifi aspects that are usually in his books. I guess that is MY fault because I just assumed they would be there.

I picked up Legion from the bookstore back in October and decided to pick it up. I had no clue what it was about before reading. However, I was hoping to enjoy an author I’ve enjoyed many times before.

legion is actually three short stories in one book about the same man. The character Steven Leeds has these things he calls “aspects,” which are people that he sees that are not there. We never really find out if he is just imagining them or if it’s like an alternate Dimension or what.

I think the idea was there like this book would have been really interesting if it was about Leeds trying to solve a really intricate crime with all of the aspects. All of these other characters that only he can see know things that he doesn’t.

I’m also side eyeing Brandon Sanderson after reading this book because the first short story takes place in Jerusalem. I don’t really like the language that was used against palestinian people. Of course it could have just been the characters opinions but I don’t really think that’s what it was.

However, upon further research he has actually been to Israel and everything. I really don’t know how I would feel if this man came out as a Zionist. Honestly, it would be heartbreaking, but I’d learn to live with it.

Brandon Sanderson is an author that I follow on social media, which is very uncommon for me. I do not typically follow authors anywhere online (besides indie authors). He has been gaining a little bit of traction on Tik Tok, and has been posting on their lot in the last year. I’ve always seen him as a very rational individual so I would be shocked if he is Zionist.

I this book was just okay to me. I did enjoy it but I think it could have been way better. Also, i think this book could have been better if it were connected to the Cosmere as well. I think I looked up after about half of the book was done if it was or wasn’t because I had a lot of theories in my mind about what was happening if it were, but it’s not.

I don’t know, let me know of any of you guys have read Legion, and what you thought about it. The ratings on Goodreads are very high so maybe I’m just crazy, but it’s definitely my least favorite Brandon Sanderson book I’ve ever read. It really could have benefited from being long like most of his other books are.
