An autistic book lover

The Sunday Post 70

The Sunday Post

Hello readers! I took a little unintended hiatus this past month. I just didn’t have any time to read books or write blog posts. Honestly, I finally got back into the habit of reading every day, and then life took over.

The Sunday Post was created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!

September was a long month. My daughter started doing online school instead of in-person school. She just was still not doing the best. Once she started doing online school, she started nearly getting straight A’s.

I started a new term at SNHU. This is one of my hardest yet. I’m taking business Law this time, and I also have to do video projects for the first time. I swear, this is the first term that I genuinely thought about quitting. It got so difficult for a minute there.

I made the President’s List! I didn’t think I made it, but I did.

I met someone! Since my husband and I separated in February 2024, I spent most of my time just focusing on my daughter. He is finally at a point where he is seeing her more, so I joined a dating app.

Anyhow, I was talking to this guy for about a week before we finally went on a date. And, it was amazing. I’m autistic, and so is he. So, it was such a nice change. I’ve never really been around an autistic guy before. We are so similar and I had a good time.

I never thought I’d even try dating again. It just felt so daunting for me, but here I am.

He is so amazing. Unlike any man I’ve ever met. I can’t even lie, I have such a great time with him. I can be 100% myself around him and that is really rare for me, especially for someone I just met. I don’t know how to act, but I’m having a great time.

I’m hoping to at least post a WWW Wednesday this week.

I have been going back and forth between these two books this week. I hope to finish FBAA this week. I really love it, but just haven’t had much time to read.

I also don’t really feel comfortable reading spicy romance books around people, specifically my child.

My date and I went and saw The Long Walk. This is a Stephen King book that I actually have not read.

I really enjoyed this movie. It reminded me a lot of Battle Royale, but The Long Walk came out quite a bit before. I’d like to get around to reading the book now that I’ve watched it.

We went out and spent the whole day together on a different day and ended up seeing HIM as well. This was a football horror movie following a guy training to become a quarterback.

It was really an interesting movie. I mean, it is a Jordan Peele movie. It has football, is a little culty, and it was too gory. I thought there would be a ton of body horror, but it wasn’t that bad.

Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨

  1. Lovely to hear that you’ve met someone you can be yourself around. It makes all the difference, especially when you’re autistic (which I am too).
