Hello readers! It’s time for another WWW Wednesday. I started a new book this week, and I am really enjoying it. I am just in that stage right now where I keep thinking that I want to read things and then they just don’t stick, but I am having a good time with my current read.
If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.
Right now I am almost 40% through the audiobook of This Poison Heart.
I have read this author’s horror book before and just decided this week to pick up one of her fantasy books.
I don’t really read YA books anymore and I don’t remember why that is. I don’t know if I was picking up a lot of them that I didn’t like or what it was.
This Poison Heart is a retelling of The Secret Garden, which I haven’t read, but recently bought. It follows a girl who has plant related power that she doesn’t fully understand.
When her aunt dies, who she has never met, she inherits this giant property and she goes to stay there for the summer with her moms. A lot of weird things are happening there and she is hoping to learn more about herself and her powers.
The last book I finished is still Eat the Ones You Love. I still have mixed feelings on it. I’m excited to see what other people think as more people are reading it this year.
There are a lot of things I wish it did different, but it still had me hooked from beginning to end. I didn’t really love the ending, and so I ended up giving it 3 stars overall.
If I really end up enjoying This Poison Heart, which I think I will, I might as well pick up book two. As far as I know, it is a duology.
I would really like to read Battle of the Labyrinth. This is book four in the Percy Jackson series. I put book 5 on my TBR for next month, so I would really like to get this one done early next month.
