Hello readers! It’s time for a reading update. I ended up DNFing the book I was reading on Sunday because I just couldn’t get into it, so I have a brand new book to talk about today.
If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.
Right now I am finally getting to the ARC I have of the final Mr. Lemoncello book that came out back in November.
I’m currently at 65% on Netgalley with 6 unread ARCs including this one. I am hoping to get to one more on the list this month if I can fit it in.
It’s pretty good so far. I’m just over 100 pages in and really enjoying it. In this one, these kids are put in a competition to win the opportunity to be the heir to a very wealthy game maker named Mr. Lemoncello’s business.
These books are so fun. There are lots of riddles and games you can solve along with the characters and it really is for lovers of libraries, books, and games.
The last book I finished is Nevermoor. It took everything in me not to just pick up book two. Book four comes out later this year, so I don’t want to binge the first three and then have to wait for it to come out.
Nevermoor follows a girl named Morrigan who is a cursed child. She is destined to die on her 11th birthday, but is whisked away by a man from a magical place called Nevermoor to be his apprentice.
The ending gave us a little bit about the overarching villain and I’m super curious what will happen with him and his backstory.
I’m going back to my Wheel of TBR next with Family of Liars. I am half way through the TBR, so I need to get back on it before I get carried away.
I know this is a prequel to We Were Liars and I’m excited to dive into it without knowing a single thing about it other than that.
This one is the other ARC I’d like to get to this month. It came out back in July of 2024.
It’s a retelling of Great Gatsby, which is what made me interested in it, besides the author, of course. The 2nd book comes out next month and is a retelling of Dorian Gray.
I didn’t read an entire book by this author in 2024 and she wrote my favorite book of 2023.
