The Sunday Post #31 + Another Content Theft Win

The Sunday Post

Hello readers! It’s Sunday again and St. Patrick’s Day as well. Little known fact about me, I was supposed to be born on St. Patrick’s Day and therefore was born very late.

It honestly makes me wonder if I should’ve been a Pisces instead of an Aries. I don’t really identify with the personality of your everyday Aries.

The Sunday Post and the thumbnail I’m using were created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!

Content Theft Update:

The book blogging community did it once again. I few weeks ago, I told you about another website that was stealing content. This website was called TimeBlitzed and was owned by the same guy as the first website.

I reported them myself to the host website and they did not agree with me that my content was stolen. BUT, I took to my blog here on WordPress to let you guys know, and you guys came through! I searched up the site on Thursday and found that the website is gone!

I just want to thank all of my viewers and the entire book community. Especially those who reported their own content being up on the site.

And, I will let you guys know if I find another one in the future. Honestly, I have my eye on Feedspot. I don’t like that website or how they profit off of blogger’s content. But, I can’t say if they are the same as the other two sites.

Don’t be afraid to reach out to me if you find book blogger’s content being stolen! My DMs are open.

Life Update:

This week, I started the last big section of my bookkeeping course. I’m telling you guys, I really figured it out this week. I started doing the course at a much slower pace this month and it really helped. I did a practice test this week, and for the first time, I got 100% on the first try. It really dawned on me that I am getting it finally!

I did some online research and found some information that the course was leaving out and it helped me a lot.

I am just so scared of the uncertainty of it all. I’m worried I won’t pass my test, that I won’t be hired in the end, or that I won’t be good at the job. I hope all goes well and I can finish this thing before March is over.

Other than that, I took a bad fall yesterday. I swear, I sound like an old person. And, this is going to sound fake, but I tripped on my lingerie dresser, which is one of those tall dressers with the tiny drawers, ended up falling into my closet door, and then hitting my head on my vanity. Mostly, I am okay, but it does hurt to walk at the moment.

On a more positive note, I sold two things on Teachers Pay Teachers this week! It really made me think I should put more effort into my store on there. Basically, you upload worksheets or acivities for teachers or homeschooling teachers to use. Did I make a ton of money? No, but it still felt great to make some sales!

This week coming up, we are going on our first homeschool event! I am so excited for this. I was on homeschool reddit and someone said that there are Facebook groups for your county or city for homeschooling parents. And, I found some after that.

We are going to this place that is pretty much a trampoline park with some other fun stuff to do. We went once about two years ago for a birthday party and haven’t been back. BUT, it’s an event for homeschool kids and I’m so excited for her to do it.

Sure, we have neighbor kids that she hangs out with, but this is a place where she can hang out with kids who are like her. And, do school stuff that we can’t. For instance, we have been denied joining sports and other things because of being homeschoolers.

There is a swim team and some kind of martial arts that we may have to join this summer! All for homeschool kids. And, there are field trips, and many other events we can do.

Upcoming This Week:

Monday is a Down the TBR Hole Post, Tuesday is my Entire TBR Update, Thursday is the Guity Reader tag, and Saturday will be a post recommended diverse middle grade books. These will have LGBT, POC, and disability rep.

You guys, I got on my computer Friday to finish that Entire TBR Update to post Saturday, and then I realized it was Saturday! So, that post is delayed a few days. I don’t know how I managed to completely lose a day.

What I Watched This Week:

This week I have been watching the American version of Kitchen Nightmares and still watching a lot of true crime. Mainly, the Mile Higher podcast and Lights Out.

I’ve just spent the last month mostly lying in bed and watching stuff, so I don’t really have anything left that I’m interested in watching. I got to get out of this funk soon!

I also think my TV is on it’s last leg. Actually, last month when we were sick, my moms TV randomly quit working. The entire screen went black. But, she had the TV for around 5 years now, so it may have just lived it’s lifespan.

We have had our TV since 2018, so that may be true for me too. There are these lines that have been forming on the TV. So, I think the picture is going out eventually.

  1. I hope you both enjoy the homeschool event. It sounds like a great opportunity for her to find people to mix with
