Hello readers! It has to have been about two months since I’ve done one of these, but here we are.

January 16: Besides reading, what are some of your favorite hobbies?

This is such a fun topic! I really want to make more non-bookish posts in 2024, so this one was perfect.

I honestly have a lot of hobbies. Some might say too many. Honestly, I don’t do all my hobbies all the time. I go through phases of doing them a lot and then sometimes not at all.

Firstly, I love to knit. I learned how to knit at 19. I knitted a lot of Christmas ornaments that I still have. I didn’t own that many once I became an adult, so I decided to make some. I also knit my step-daughter some mits once and I made myself a Kindle sleeve a few years ago. I haven’t knit anything in a while, but I still enjoy doing it on occasion.

I like to collect mini brands. I recently made some of them into magnets for the fridge. I just have so many extras and decided to use some of the food-related extras as magnets because I don’t know what else to do with them.

I also love baking and cooking, which you guys already know about. I am hoping to get myself a pasta roller this year to try and make my own pasta. I love making a lot of different baked goods at holidays, too.

I also love cooking shows. My favorites are The Spring/Kids/Summer/Holiday Baking Championships (not a fan of Halloween), anything with Gordon Ramsay, British Bake Off, Tournament of Champions, and The Great Food Truck Race. But, I have honestly watched a bit of everything.

I am a lover of true crime. Most of the true crime I consume is from podcasts. My favorite is Morbid, but I’ve also listened to Military Murder and Behind You. I used to watch a lot of true crime TV as a teen and I sometimes do now, but mostly just listen to podcasts now.

Lastly, I would say video games. Really specific ones, though. I don’t call myself a gamer, though. I just play the same 4 or 5 games over and over. Like, Skyrim, Animal Crossing, Dishonored, and a few others.
