Books I’d Like to Read This Winter

Well I do have a Winter TBR post that I did, but I’ll go ahead and name a book anyhow.

I REALLY want to read Tress of the Emerald Sea. I own the book and I’m going to try to squeeze it end by the end of the year.

Actually, I ended 2022 with a Sanderson book, so I might as well do it again.

Favorite Things in Winter

Probably snow. Especially when the snow has just fallen and its hasn’t been walked or driven on yet. It almost sparkles and I love how magical that is.

I also like that it’s not hot. I would rather be cold than hot any day.

Lastly, baking! I could bake any time of year, sure. But, I love baking at the end of the year and trying new things. I always make homemade sugar cookies and we decorate them together. Then, my daughter will pick a few to leave for Santa. Usually, that means in the microwave because my cats will push them onto the floor.

Favorite Winter Drink

Anything with peppermint! I actually went to Dunkin earlier this month and they let me add peppermint to a vanilla coolata. It was SOOO good. I don’t like coffee much, but I do sometimes drink peppermint ice coffee. But, I’d rather have peppermint hot chocolate or one of those coolatas.

They had a peppermint frosty this year, but I never got around to trying it.

Favorite Winter Activities

Reading wintry books. I love books that are set in the winter, specifically at Christmas.

Favorite Winter Scents

I would say cinnamon and vanilla. I have a wintry vanilla candle from Bath and Body Works.

Oh, also gingerbread cookies! I haven’t made them before, but they are my absolute favorite cookie.
