Hello readers! It’s time for another book tag! This one was created by Buzzfeed as a quiz and many book bloggers have used it as a tag.
Halloween is now over, do you guys put up your tree immediately after for Christmas (if you celebrate)? I know non-Americans don’t do Thanksgiving, so how does it work for you? Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday. We are painting my living room in a few days and then we are hopefully putting up the tree, but usually we wait until the day after Thanksgiving.
Would you rather have a friend who loses your books, or one who dog-ears them?
Can I pick the third option of having a friend who doesn’t borrow my books? I have had friends who have done both of these things before! I once let a boyfriend borrow my book in middle school and he ended up destroying it and having to buy me a new one. I don’t want friends who do either 😂
Would you rather secretly love a book everyone else hates, or secretly hate a book everyone else loves?
I would rather secretly hate a book everyone else loves. There is nothing that makes me question loving a book more than no one else liking it. I feel like I can’t even recommend it or talk about how much I like because I don’t want to steer people in the wrong direction! I always say on here if I loved a book and no one else did just in case.
Would you rather be stuck on a very long plane or train ride without a book?
Well, I have never taken a plane or train ride before. I have taken a few boat rides! There are plenty of trains in Indiana, but none that I know if that transport people.
However, I would say a plane ride because I think I would be very stressed on a plane and wouldn’t be able to concentrate on a book anyway.
Would you rather have dinner with your favorite author or your favorite character?
I would say a character I love. There are just so many good characters out there and I don’t know how I could pass up meeting one if I could!
Would you rather date a character you have a crush on or your crush from real life?
Character again. Men in real life are terrible! I mean, I love my husband! However, most men do not treat women right and don’t value them.
The male love interests in books are just always so funny and caring and don’t belittle women at every turn, which I think is hard to come by.
Would you rather have your favorite book turned into a movie, or your favorite movie turned into a book?
As long as the adaptation is done well, I love to see books turned into movies. When movies are turned into books, I just don’t see a good amount of effort go into them. I mean, look at the fantastic beats books! They are the littlest amount of effort possible.
I am aware that that was also a book first, but the movies are very different from the original book. They did good on that one, but the books from the movies are just cash grabs.
I also had a bunch of those Lizzie McGuire and Kim Possible books as a kid that were adapted from the shows. They were okay, but it there wasn’t much that the show didn’t already do.
Would you rather read a book with an annoying cliffhanger, or one where your favorite character is killed off?
This may be a crazy take, but a character I love being killed off. I love when a book gives me a jaw dropping moment that hits me right in the chest. If a book makes me cry, I’m giving it 5 stars no questions asked.
Cliffhangers are just frustrating! I love indie authors, but so many of them put cliffhangers at the end of the first book in a series and I’m tired of ARC reading them! 😂
Luckily many of those same indie authors publish multiple books in a series in a year because they are killing me.
Would you rather lose the ability to read any new books, or the ability to reread books you’ve already read?
Well, I don’t really reread books much, so I’m going to go with losing the ability to reread.
Would you rather live in a library or a bookstore?
This one is hard! I’m going to go with a bookstore. I would love to own a little bookshop in a building where I live on the second floor or something. Like in the Wizards or Waverly Place, but it’s a bookstore.
I would want a franchise of half price books because there isn’t one where I live. I think the closest one is over an hour away!
Would you rather lose your place or get a paper cut every time you read a book?
This one is also hard, but I’m going to go with losing my place. I am always hurting myself and I don’t need my favorite hobby to add to that.
Would you rather have to always read in the dark, or always read books with tiny text?
The dark. I could always use my Kindle in the dark and tiny text is the WORST. At least I can make the font bigger on my Kindle as well.
Would you rather read by a fireplace, or on the beach?
I would love to read by the fireplace! We just bought one of those heaters that looks like a fireplace and that’s close to the same thing.
Now, I’m sure reading on the beach is great, but I think it would be way too hot and I sunburn so easily. I have that Irish skin that just goes back to the same shade of white after a sunburn and I just get more freckles.
