Alli the Book Giraffe

Hello readers! It’s Wednesday again and it’s time to talk about what I’m reading. My reading is picking back up this week.

It’s also Stuff Your Kindle Day! Check out the list for some free eBooks. I believe you can get ebooks on the Kindle, android, iPad, AND Nook. This is my first time doing this because I didn’t even know it existed until last month when I found out about stuff your earbuds day.

If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

I am still listening to Darius, but I really want to finish it this week. I have just been casually listening to it here and there when I make dinner. I should be able to finish it very soon as I only have like 2 hours left of it.

It is an interesting story so far, I just would like to see more about the Brotherhood. I know this is only a prequel written many years later, so I will see more of it in the actual series.

(ARC) Well, this book is a lot. I think if you like grimdark, you would love this book. I’m not sure if grimdark romance is a thing, but I think that is what this is.

So far I am almost 10 chapters in and the main character has just been put through it, including rape. I’m still interested in the rest of the book, but I hope this character catches a break at some point.

(ARC) I CANNOT believe I got onto Emily Antionette’s ARC team. I know, this author isn’t well known, but I really loved her debut book, Space For Love.

Maneater is a romance between a succubus and a cinnamon roll male witch that takes place in the 80’s. I am so excited to read this and her other book that comes out later this year that I’m on the ARC team for as well.

I finally caught up on the Wicked Darlings series by this author, so it was time to make my way through her backlist.

Jack Frost follows this woman named Emery who is walking over some ice in Antartica. When she fall in, she is transported into an underground cave and discovered Jack Frost there hibernating.

There’s also a lot of backstory about him and how he became who he is because he was human before. It was a genuine good book with a little bit of action and spice. I’m excite to try the rest of the series. As far as I know, the Immortal Warriors series is full of standalones.

This is the perfect book to read around Christmas because it takes place before and on Christmas!

My next book is going to be a Christmas romance. I really am loving these this year. This one follows a woman who is snowed in with four men at her decorating job.

This is the first book in a series, but I’m not sure what the other books are about in it.
