WWW Wednesday

Hello readers! This week I am reading a lot at once. I have been trying to maintain at least 3 books at once, but I am doing more than that at this moment. I am feeling good about it, though!

If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

I have about 90 pages left in the ARC of Ruinous Notion and I’m hoping to get it done today. Idk, I still don’t like Theo, but the book is good. I would love the story more if he wasn’t in it.

For me, Theo doesn’t deserve anything. He is one of those men who treats everyone like crap, but still thinks he is so amazing. He ruins things for everyone and was also sexist in previous books. I much preferred the previous two books, but I’m happy to finish a series. I am also interested in reading more from this author! I just hate Theo’s character so much.

This is an audiobook I have that’s a prequel to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. The series started in the 2000s, but this one came out last year.

I’m enjoying it so far, but I would like to see more about the Brotherhood. I know, I have plenty of other books to learn stuff about it, but I’m still curious!

I am listening to this casually while I make dinner and such and am hoping to start the actual series later this month. I really think I’m going to like it.

This one follows Darius who almost hits a woman with his car and then learns she was running away from her abusive ex. He feels somewhat responsible for her after this and starts to come visit her and there is a romance between them eventually.

From what I’ve read on Goodreads reviews, his story is well known through the series and we are just getting to see it on the page. I’m excited to see what happens with him and the child he mentioned at the beginning of the book, who I assume will be in the series at some point.

This is the 3rd book in the Wicked Darling series. I’m also hoping to finish this one today. I like this book, but this one has gone to more smut than plot, which the previous books haven’t done. However, I can’t wait to see where it ends up and the next book in the series as well.

This one will be on the currently reading list for a long while. It’s a book that’s nearly 3000 pages of short scifi romances. I’ve only read the first story so far and there are many, many more to go.

I am a little worried about it being scifi romances. I do like a monster romance, but I need said monster to be like 90% human-ish. I am worried there might be some weird stuff, but I am still hoping for the best. I can’t read the ones where the monster has the face of an animal or has tentacles or something.

My goal here with the book is not just to enjoy it, but to hopefully find some authors that I really enjoyed and would like to read more from. My only complaint is that the book is dedicated to indigenous two-spirit people, but I couldn’t find that any of the authors are Indigenous. I’m happy they are donating! I would just like to see some indigenous authors in there.

I just finished my ARC of this one. I’m not sure exactly how to describe Tear in Reality without just saying the whole plot. I would say it’s for fans of The Mortal Instruments, but with follow through.

There is a lot going in in this book with many different supernatural beings, but it isn’t overwhleming. I think it’s an amazing set up for a series and I can’t wait to read more from it!

Generally it follows a friend group of 4 people; a witch, a werewolf, a vampire, and a seer. We follow them as they are tasked with finding out who is killing a bunch of supernatural hunters. I can say what exact creature that they hunt.

I am reading a lot right now and all of it is romance. I need something that isn’t a romance. I’m worried I’m going to burn myself out of romance! I also think I am ready to go back to books with more serious topics after I kind of traumatized myself earlier this year with them.

I know this one is by the same author as The Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School, which I loved, and it follows a group of people who are SA victims of the same guy.
