Hello readers! It’s Wednesday again and that means it’s time to talk about what I’m currently reading. I’ve done really well so far this month. I’m still doing this thing where I read three to four books at a time, which I am loving! It really helps me to read more.
If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

Treacherous Notion is book 2 in the Prevelant Notion series. It’s a series of standalone rockstar romance books. This one follows the bands bassist, Nathan, and a fashion designer who was once employed as their stylist when they were on tour in book 1, Ilsa.
I really love this book so far. I have about 100 pages left and should be finishing it later today. This is my favorite of the two books, to be honest. It’s friends to lovers. That kind where everyone knows they should be together except the two of them.
It’s much more spicy than book one and the relationship kicks off much faster than book 1 as well. I love these two together. I love that the first spicy scene was awkward and ended a little bit in disaster. It makes them relatable! Things can be so awkward when you first get together with someone and I love to see that represented.

Lola is a witch who returns home to San Francisco after being away for a year. She is determined to keep her past hidden, but soon uncovers a dangerous plot that threatens everything she knows. With supernatural beings being targeted, Lola must confront the hidden darkness within the city.
When I applied for this ARC, the author described it as having the same vibes as Charmed, Supernatural, and Buffy. I have read 10 chapters now and I do think it has those vibes (I haven’t actually seen Buffy, though). There are a friend group that all are different species and are trying to figure out things together. This book is also very diverse! If your looking for a indie book by a black author that is super diverse, look no further! It has plenty of world building, as well, without any info-dumping.

This one follows Jason and Cynthia. They are both lawyers on the opposite ends of a case. They have a one night stand before this and accidentally end up in the same rental property when they are put on this case out of town.
This book has rivals to lovers, a strong female lead (that stays strong), touch her and die trope, forced proximity, and some light BDSM. I did not expect this book to explore darker themes or to have BDSM. The topics involve Jason’s childhood abuse, neglect, drug dealers, and being cycled through the adoption system.
I also LOVE banter and the tension between the two MCs. It has come to my attention that there is a previous book with characters from this book and I can’t wait to pick that up or anything else this author decides to write in the future about other characters!

Detective Olivia Collins investigates a series of murder cases involving werewolves and vampires, while teamed up with rookie detective Nathan Steele. As she digs deeper, Olivia must navigate her own conflicting emotions and make tough choices. With blurred lines between good and evil, Olivia races against time to confront her own demons and bring the culprits to justice.
I was supposed to have started this yesterday because it comes out really soon. I think it’s the 15th. I got My Office Rival three or so days before it came out and had to push this one back. I am excited for it though! I know this is a paranormal romance and it doesn’t have any spice. I don’t mind if a book does or doesn’t, but I like to know going in which one it is.
