WWW Wednesday (8/23/23)

WWW Wednesday

Hello readers! How has everyone’s reading gone this week? Mine has been great. The last book I finished was a favorite of all time for sure!

I posted today already, I know, but I decided to do a WWW Wednesday anyhow. My earlier post was to celebrated my 3 year Blogiversary, which I’m so happy about. Check out that post, if you missed it!

If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

Dear Monster Claus is a spicy romance between a Cupid and Santa. The Cupid, Xo, writes a letter to Santa wishing to experience love. In this world, Cupids can help others to find love, but cannot do it themselves.

I am just in the mood for Winter/Chirstmas books. Listen, I know that Halloween hasn’t even come yet. But, I really love Christmas, just like Xo.

This book is short and great for those in the mood for Chirstmas books. I might make a post later this year about Christmas books and romances because I’m loving these books.

This one follows girl who gets into a fight (not physical) with a rich girl and as a result loses her scholarship to the private school she goes to and the opportunity to go to Yale, which she has previously been accepted to.

In order to get her acceptance back to Yale, she joins this competition called the Finish. It was created by this rich and powerful family that can help the winner do anything monetarily possible.

I am only 15% in so far, but it is supposed to be Squid Game-esque, so the whole thing must turn deadly. I’m really excited for this one. I have been listening to it while doing housework as I haven’t been doing audiobooks much this month.

I saw that this author was looking for ARC readers for the 3rd book on my FYP and I had to try this series. I didn’t sign up for the ARC, I just wanted to read it.

There are two POVs, which are sisters. I love that they both have a romance, but they are paced very different. One happens pretty early on and the other is a slowburn. There is a TON of spice in this book as well, mostly between the romance that happens early on.

Although a big part centered the romances, there was plently of world building and plot! This book is full of action-packed fight scenes and lots of magic. It can get a little violent at times, but it wasn’t too bad.

Also, this genderbent Sugar Plum Faerie was amazing. The 2nd book has a POV of him and I can’t wait to see that. I prefer romances with the MMC’s POV included.

This is a romance that came out yesterday! It’s on KU. I have also been LOVING reading these indie romances with plus size characters.

Cora Dalton, a busy CEO, faces various challenges in her life. When Jay, with whom she had a one-night stand, becomes her company’s HR Director, their attraction grows. However, Jay introduces her to a male massage therapist, leading to further complications. Will Jay’s actions help Cora relax or was there a hidden motive behind his plan?

Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
