Book Blogger Hop: ARC Sources

Hello readers! Today’s post is a book blogger hop. I have only done this once before, and it was a long time ago, but I’m here to try it again.

If you’ve never heard of Book Blogger Hop, it is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addict. Each week a discussion topic is given and many book bloggers post based on that topic. New topics start on Friday and end that following Thursday.

This weeks Topic: Do you use other sources for ARCs besides NetGalley?

I LOVE the idea of this question. I know of three websites for ARCS, one being NetGalley. It really depends on what kind of ARCs you are looking for. If you only want those ARCs from the big publishers of the biggest authors, NetGalley and Edelweiss are the best spots for that.

As mentioned before, I know if Edelweiss. I believe Edelweiss even has more publishers than NetGalley does. I have tried to use this site a few times, but haven’t successfully been given any ARCs off it.

If you are the type of person who genuinely wants to help out self published authors, the best website is Book Sirens. It’s okay if that isn’t what you are looking for! Indie authors pay to have their books on Book Sirens and we as reviews can help them by giving their books a little boost.

On Book Sirens, I have been approved for every ARC I’ve requested. You can add your preferences and connect Goodreads and other social medias. This lets the authors see everything about you including a stats page. The authors can contact you themselves, or you can request the books you want.

Book Sirens also has options for paid review and beta reading. I have no experience with those things, but I know they are offered.

Where do you get ARCs outside of Netgalley?
