WWW Wednesday (10/27/21)

WWW Wednesday

Hello readers! It’s Wednesday again. I have read more this last week than I have most of this month. I failed Tome Topple so badly, BUT I have read a lot.

If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

A Spindle Splintered is about a girl who is destined to die on her 21st birthday. She pricks her finger on a spindle and is thrust into another dimension.

I am halfway through this one. The audio is only 3 hours long and I kind of wish it was longer. I never know, I might enjoy the length by the end, so we will have to see!

Girl, Taken is the 2nd book in the Ella Dark FBI series. Ella works for the FBI, but she hasn’t had any field experience until book one. Ella Dark is obsessed with serial killers and is tasked to help catch one.

I randomly picked this series up on Hoopla this last week and I really enjoy it! This is by far my favorite series by a self-pubbed author I’ve read.

I get on Hoopla multiple times a week checking for more books in this series. Beachfront Bakery series is a cozy mystery series about a bakeshop owner named Allison Sweet. She has a breakup and is fired from her job in book one and decides to open her very own bakery, but on the side, she is solving murders.

This is the 4th book and is my favorite of the whole series. Books 2 and 3 were just too similar, but this one broke the mold. I am so excited to see what Allison Sweet does going forward regarding her missing father and love life.

I need to get my Shopaholic book in for this month. This is the 7th book in the series (out of 9) and is possibly the biggest one. It is nearly 500 pages, which is crazy for a contemporary book. However, I’m excited to get to it and get this series done.

I refuse to leave 2021 while I’m still reading this damn series. I really did not like the previous book. THere is just something about reading/watching things with really unruly children that annoys me so much. I hope there is a big time jump and her kid is much older now, but we will see.

  1. […] that includes queer representation. This is a book club read for @EerieQueers that I cohost with Allie the Book Giraffe and @bookishkj. I’m a little intimidated by this book but I’m excited […]
