Hello readers! It’s that time of week again where I catch you all up on what I’ve been reading lately. I’m FINALLY back into reading again like I used to and it feels amazing. I’ve always been the type of reader that starts and finishes books very quickly, and I missed doing it.
If you don’t know WWW Wednesday a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read, are reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.
Last thing, I want to let you all know that I will be taking a week off next week. I will be posting Saturday, but you won’t see me again until the next Monday. Back in May, I had a bit of a burnout and I promised myself I would take AT LEAST one week off every three months so that doesn’t happen again. I LOVE posting, but I have to remind myself to take breaks (and I hope you do, too!)
Yes, I am STILL reading this book. I hoped to have it done before August came along, but it didn’t happen.
I am LOVING this book! The banter and humor is hilarious!
I just never remember to charge or bring my Kindle with me. I’ve had a Kindle for a really long time and I just recently bought a new one, because my old one was too old. I just need to get back into the habit of using it again!
I’m only 50 pages in, so I don’t have a full idea of what this book is about. However, I am enjoying it thus far. It does follow a guy who watches everyone in his neighborhood in a really creepy way, and a girl whose Mom knows he is doing it, but everyone things she is crazy.
This one is about Shelby, who goes missing, and Meredith, who also goes missing with her daughter Delilah. We are following Meredith in the past, leading up to what happened, her neighbor named Kate in the past AND present time, and Delilah’s brother Leo in present time.
I do have a daughter, but I’ve never birthed a child and this book has me terrified to do so. Shelby’s pregnancy was the worse case scenario and it was horrible. I had a few hunches on what actually happened to both women, and I was wrong. I haven’t tried this author before, but I hope to again in the near future! I almost read another one of her books, but I couldn’t choose.
From what I have gathered, this one follows Noemi, who is tasked by her father to do a wellness-type check on her cousin Catalina. Catalina married on a whim and has been sending her family letters questioning her own safety.
I’m hoping to get my TBR books in early this month, so I’m not struggling for time to read them by the end of the month. I have almost read this book a couple times and just haven’t, so it’s time to finally get to it.
