Hello readers! August is approaching, so it’s time again to post a TBR. I don’t have many plans for books I want to read in August, but I do have a few. It is kind of nice to have a tiny TBR for once!
In the month of August, I’m going to be reading books by Mexican authors. I had too many options, so I let my Instagram followers decide which ones I should read. If I get all of them done, I’ll start reading the ones that lost.

This one just barely beat out The House on Mango Street at 57/43.
I’ve gotten this book on Libby a few times and just never got to it! However, I still really want to get to it. I’m not really sure what this book is about, however, I am willing and excited to read it in August.

This one won over The Mirror Season by the same author with 83% of the vote. I did want to read this one more, so I’m happy with it.
This book is a retelling of a classic called The Red Shoes and I’m gonna go ahead and read that first! The audiobook is only 14 minutes of The Red Shoes, so why not?

This one was up against Esperanza Rising and won by 100%! I know it’s a story about grief. The MC’s sister is killed in a car accident.
I am finally getting comfortable with reading books about grief again and I’m really loving them when I do.

I’m getting quite tired of reading so many fantasy books and I’m ready to dive back into the mystery/thriller genre again!
This one is about a few different people going missing in a small community. Then, 11 years later, one of the people shows up again and everyone wants to know where she’s been.
I’m reading this with some other people on Instagram and I’m super excited to see what everyone thinks!
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
