Blogger Stats Book Tag

Hello readers! Today we have another book tag. I am really loving doing these book tags so much lately! I’m hoping everyone has been enjoying their reading this month. I have so far.

The Blogger Stats Book Tag was created by Always Trust in Books, so make sure to check out their post!

The last 3 books you read?

Spoilers or Spoil free?

I like spoilers when I intentionally look them up, but not when they are dropped onto me. Sometimes I’ll get attached to a character in a fantasy series and I just HAVE to know if they die. I’ll be too stressed out to wait! I also spoil myself about romantic partnerships all the time. I don’t mind knowing who ends up together at the end.

How long have you been book blogging?

Since August of 2020, so 1 year and 3 months now.

A book you read in one sitting?

This is the last one I read in one sitting. If you just sit down and read them, it only takes an hour or two.

Your favorite genre?

Right now, I am into thrillers. My favorite genres are probably thrillers, cozy mystery, and middle-grade contemporary books. I feel like my favorite genre changes every season.

Preferred book size?

I am a lover of big books. The bigger the book, the more story there is to consume! I love a big book with essentially no plot.

Amount of books on your TBR?

I currently have 48 books on my TBR. An update to my entire TBR is coming in December. I have acquired a lot of books this year, but my TBR is still smaller than it was in 2020.

A book you have DNF’d?

The last book I DNFd was Anya and the Dragon. This was a really interesting story, but I’m just really picky about my middle-grade fantasies. I prefer contemporary over fantasy within that age range.

Recent awards or milestones?

In October I reached 10,000 views here on WordPress. I have been blogging since August 2020, but I have only been on WordPress since February of 2021.

Best interaction with an author you enjoy?

I haven’t really had any interactions with authors! I might have some come 2022.

Average number of books you read per month?

In 2020, my average number was 12, but it has gone up to 15 in 2021.

Top 3 publishers?

Tor, Scholastic, AND independently published.

Social media sites your blog uses?

I share my posts to Twitter and Facebook. Before moving to WordPress, I was not a big user of Facebook, but I found a lot of success from posting on two different blogger groups on Facebook. CLICK HERE for my favorite Book Blogger Facebook page. You do have to have a blog to join.

Average amount of time you spend networking?

I used to spend a ton of time doing this at the beginning, but now I just browse through the Book Blogger Facebook every now and again. I am perfectly happy with the size of my blog and growth right now.

Most comfortable blogging positions?

I either sit on the couch, the floor, or at my kitchen table. I think I do the best work at the kitchen table. I currently have a lot of distractions in the house including 6 animals (who don’t all get along) and I think I can concentrate the best at the table.

Music or quiet when writing reviews?

I would say quiet. I do listen to audiobooks or music while adding in photos or making thumbnails, but I don’t when I’m writing the post itself.

Can you sum up your blogging style in 5 words?

relaxed, long, lighthearted, fun? bookish

A blog you looked up to starting out?

A blogger I really wanted to be like was Lous Book Stuff. She posted so often and I envied her. I still don’t know how she posted so much! Unfortunately, she quit blogging last month and moved over to Instagram.

Best peice of blogging advice?

Don’t look at your stats! I used to be so obsessed with looking at my stats every day and it wasn’t good for me. If you focus on the numbers, you will never truly be happy with them.

  1. Love this and may have to do it in the future, lol. Thrillers are also my current favorite genre.
