The Sunday Post #75| Valentine’s Day and Binging the Muppets

The Sunday Post

Hello readers! It’s time for a Sunday Post. I have had a pretty good month. I watched a lot of movies and read a decent number of books.

Please let me know in the comments if you’d be interested in movie-centered posts! I have been thinking about writing posts about movies lately.

I was considering talking about an entire series of movies in one post. For example, all the Scream movies. I do talk about a lot of movies here. Would you read full movie-centered posts?

This month, I had a pretty good month. We went out shopping at some antique shops to start our business. We hope to launch next month.

I spent an entire day the day before Valentine’s Day making this layered Jello for my boyfriend. It was something I’ve never done before, but it came out well. It was a layer of orange, lime, and cherry, with the white jello layered between. I’m not sure what this is called exactly.

I had probably the best Valentine’s Day I’ve ever had! I’ve never really been celebrated on that day. We gave each other some gifts, went out to lunch at Outback, did some mini golf, and stayed at a hotel.

He went out in the morning and came back with some coffee from Dunkin and some sandwiches. My boyfriend had never been to Outback before! It’s one of my favorites, so we went. In order to beat the crowd, we went for lunch instead of dinner.

I bought us matching shirts to wear after we went out. I love these shirts! I want to get us a set of different characters every year.

I also dyed my hair this month. I tried to do that sort of purplish-red, but it just looks brown with a tinge of red. I want to try again in a few weeks with a more purple color.

We went to a hotel in town because we wanted some alone time. We live in multi-generational households, plus I have a ton of animals. It was so nice to have a night alone. We also played a Mario version of Life, and BTS Uno. BTS Uno is currently the only version I have.

Next week is the last of my current term at SNHU. I have 97% in both my courses! Next up, I am taking Principles of Finance and Accounting Information Systems. I am hoping for an easier term so I have a little bit of extra time in March.

My goal was to make President’s List this semester and I am very certain I’ll be making the list. I only made it one time last year. Maybe I should try for a whole year of President’s List?

Today is actually my Mom’s birthday. I will be baking a cake, getting some flowers, and hopefully going out somewhere for dinner.

This year has been busy so far, but it has also been really amazing. I am having an even better year than in 2025. My life looks completely different than it did a year ago, and even two years ago. And I can say that really is for the better.

March is coming up! It’s not only Middle Grade March, but also my birthday month. I’ll be bringing as many middle grade books in March as possible.

Wednesday – WWW Wednesday

Thursday – Bad Reading Habits Tag

Friday – What I Collect Besides Books| LTB

I have a TBR post going out on Tuesday, a book tag on Thursday, and an LTB post on Friday.

I am also working on announcing another new series here on the blog that I will be doing with my boyfriend. My boyfriend makes YouTube videos, so we will also be doing the series in video form.

I’m currently about 40% into End of Watch. I am enjoying it, but I was not expecting it to take a paranormal twist. I prefer the previous books where there wasn’t a paranormal aspect to it. I did hear that one of the Holly books has a paranormal aspect, so I guess it does make sense to show up here.

We back following Bill and Holly as they are solving this murder-suicide of a victim a crime that happened in book one and her mother. We also follow the antagonist and his new paranormal abilities. I am enjoying it a lot so far. I really missed reading this series and from King himself.

You know, Stephen King is and has always been my favorite author, but I really don’t read him much anymore.

This past few weeks, my boyfriend and I binged all the Muppets movies. I honestly had never seen any of them before, besides Muppet’s Christmas Carol. I have said on here before and will continue to say that the Muppet’s Christmas Carol is the best version of Christmas Carol that exists.

I really enjoyed watching these movies! My favorites were Treasure Island, which I think I actually remember seeing before, and the second movie, The Great Muppet Caper.

Treasure Island was really so good because of Tim Curry. He really is such an amazing actor. I am hoping to get around to reading his book this year. He can no longer act anymore, but he had some amazing roles in his lifetime.

My favorite character was Bobo the Bear! Who is your favorite Muppet? I just thought he was so cute. I know he is a giant, literally. But I loved him. Bobo is typically on the side of the villains, usually as a henchman. But he is never portrayed as evil or mean. I loved his personality.

I think my other favorites are Fozzie Bear and Pepe the King Prawn.

I can’t lie, Knife by Enhypen is the first song I listen to every time I bring up my playlist. It’s such a great song, especially in headphones. It’s so funny because I thought I’d hate it.

Enhypen is going to be at Lollapalooza this year in Chicago, so I am thinking about trying to go. I also saw &Team will be there! I live about 3 hours from Chicago, so it wouldn’t be that far to get there.

Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
