Hello readers! It’s already February. This last month was both a really long month and a really short one. A lot happened for me in the month, and I am hoping February will be a little less crazy busy.

Life Update|
Since my last Sunday Post, I have been working hard on my college work. I am hoping to made President’s List this semester. I managed to do it in the summer last year, and I’d like to do it again for the Spring term.
I’ve been playing Animal Crossing since the update. I reset my entire island with Resetti, and I’ve been working on a new theme. Before, I had a four-season theme. I was going to do kidcore this time, but it’s turned into a school theme. I’m having so much fun playing again.
My favorite part of the update is having random characters on my island each day who are staying in the hotel. I love seeing all the different characters visiting, especially all those I didn’t even know existed.
In February, I am hoping to go to the library book sale, have an amazing first Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend, celebrate my mom’s birthday, and start shopping for Easter.
My boyfriend and I are also talking about starting a small business together, selling movies, books, and games online. We will be running this out of my house, so there are low stakes to begin. He has worked at a video game store for over 10 years now, and I have been in the book community for well over 10 years myself.
We are working on starting a small inventory at the moment, so we might not start until March. But I think it could be something we can succeed at if we do it right.

Upcoming This Week|
This month, I have a full schedule planned, which I’ll go ahead and add at the bottom. I used to do this a while back, and I miss it!
This week, my plans are to post a wrap-up for January and an LTB post.
📚 What I’m Reading|

The hold for Your Favorite Scary Movie came in a few days ago, so I went ahead and started it. What I did not know is that the narrator is the voice of Ghost Face!
The book starts from the author’s perspective, where she is interviewing some people from the movie. Then, we switch to hearing the backstory of many different people who worked on the movie.
It starts with the creator, Kevin Williamson, and then we get a lot of behind-the-scenes about Wes Craven’s involvement, the voice of Ghost Face himself, Roger L. Jackson, and many others, including actors, the composer of the music, and a videographer.
This book really covered a lot of bases. It was fun to see who almost was each character in the movie, and how the plot of the movie sort of changed over time.
I’m only about 20% in so far, but I am loving it. If you are a horror fan, especially of the franchise of Scream, this is worth a read.
One thing I am wondering while listening is that I learned Scream was originally called Scary Movie. I am really curious if the parody franchise Scary Movie was named that because it’s Scream’s original title. One thing that has been really confusing while listening to this book is that they will keep referring to it as Scary Movie because it was called that until the first film was finished, and I keep having to remind myself that they are not talking about the Scary Movie franchise.
📺 What I’ve Watched|
I saw a few different movies these past few weeks!
My boyfriend wanted to go see the new 28 Years Later this last month, so I had to watch the previous one first. We ended up watching both 28 Years Later and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple on the same day.
I thought I had seen 28 Days Later before, but I was actually wrong about what this movie was. I started 28 Days Later earlier in January, but I haven’t finished it yet.
This is actually kind of funny. I started watching 28 Days Later, and I was confused that it was a zombie movie. I was confusing it with 30 Days of Night!
The 28 Years Later movies do have different characters than the previous two movies, but I do think Cillian Murphy’s character from the first movie will be making an appearance in the next one. So, I’ll have to go back and watch them this year.
Anyhow, 28 Years Later is a zombie movie following a young boy who lives on an island. The entire British Isles have been in quarantine since the original movie, where all the zombies live. These zombies are different than some I’ve seen before. There is a hierarchy among them. Some are very slow, and others can run. There are even Alphas in the groups.
The young boy ventures out into the mainland to practice zombie hunting with his dad, but things go completely wrong for him.
I enjoyed both movies, but the second one was much better. I liked that we got to see a character attempt to befriend and cure the zombies. We also got a cult plot-line, which could’ve been done better. But the ending of it was enjoyable.
Yesterday, I went to see Iron Lung. I didn’t know what to expect from this movie. I did watch his playthrough of the game, but other than that, I didn’t watch the trailer or anything.
Iron Lung follows Simon, who goes on this journey in an ocean of blood inside a ship alone, to earn his way out of a prison sentence for a crime he committed. He is searching for something, but doesn’t know what. And he can only see outside of the small ship through a camera that takes pictures.
I was so excited when this movie got picked up by AMC because the closest independent theatre was 4 hours from our house. We were absolutely going to travel four hours to see it, but it was nice that we didn’t have to.
I was surprised this movie was so good visually! It was fully self-funded by Markiplier, so I expected it to look like a low-budget movie. But it was great.
I’m happy he did something with the ending. Of course, I watched him play through the game, so I knew how it ended, but he added a lot to it. There was a lot of good horror despite the movie starring only him.
There were sort of grotesque parts, but they were never too much for me. It was also very claustrophobic and had lots of cosmic horror elements.
I am really happy to see how well this movie came out and how well it has done this weekend at the box office for him. I can’t wait to see if he does more in the future.
My boyfriend thinks the movie was too long, and I can agree with that. The playthrough of the game was shorter than the movie. However, I’d still recommend it if you love horror!
Other than that, I’ve been rewatching Hell’s Kitchen and Masterchef. My boyfriend hasn’t watched MasterChef before, so we are watching it together. He does like Hell’s Kitchen, but I’m watching that by myself.
It’s becoming a yearly occurrence that I rewatch these shows. Wasn’t I watching them this time last year? I rewatched a lot of food and baking content in early 2025.
🎧 What I’m Listening To|
Enhypen’s new album dropped with the title track Knife. At first, I was avoiding this song because I didn’t think I was going to like it.
However, I finally gave it a listen, and I do like it. It has a similar vibes to tracks they’ve done in the past, like Pass the Mic.
I saw that their anime has also started recently, so I’ll have to check that out as well. I have’t been as attuned with K-pop lately because my life has been so busy. But I can’t skip out on Enhypen.
