Hello readers! I hope everyone had a great holiday, whether you celebrate Christmas, something else, or nothing at all. It’s day 15 of Blogmas, which was going to be the last. However, I have one more I’ll be putting out where I give you guys an update on my entire physical TBR.
Today, I am here to tell you what books I got for Christmas, and also what I bought for myself this month. My boyfriend and I went to the bookstore a few times this month, so I decided to treat myself.
I love a bargain, I can’t help it! I keep seeing the bargain section having books I wanted already, and it’s less than 6 or 7 dollars.

Hollowpox is the third book in the Nevermoor series. I immediately read this as soon as I got a copy. I wanted the 4th book, Silverborn, but it was almost 20 dollars.
I LOVED this book. Book two, Wundersmith, is my favorite of the three, but Hollowpox was still good. We are finally getting a new level of world-building. We got to learn more about the backstory of the villain of the story, and it was something I didn’t expect.
PLEASE try this series out!

Killers of a Certain Age is one I picked up on impulse. It follows a group of women in the 60s who are retiring from being assassins. They go on a trip and come to find a hit has been put on them.
I thought I’d like this a lot more than I did. I thought the story was about something different than it was as well, so that may have contributed. It wasn’t a bad story at all, I just didn’t love it.
It kind of had a cozy mystery vibe, especially toward the end. I don’t know, I might end up reading book two down the line. I’m not sure yet.

I found the Skyward Flight novellas in the bargain section and just had to get it. I have read Skyward, but I wanted to reread it before reading book two. Skyward Flight: The Collection is a combined edition of the three novellas that follow book two in the series.
I’ll absolutely be getting to this series in 2026. I have book two (Starsight) as well, I just haven’t read it yet.
I remember when I read Skyward, I wasn’t sure if I’d like it because I hadn’t really read scifi before. Now I love scifi!

Amari and the Great Game is book two in the Supernatural Investigations series. I am finally rereading book one so I can continue the series. I really wanted to buy myself a copy of book two and found it in the bargain section!
This will be one of my first books of 2026 for sure. And, book four comes out in February, so I can probably fully catch up in 2026. Back when I originally read the first one, none of the other books existed yet.
From what I read online, it was planned as a trilogy, but has been extended to 5 books. It could end up being more, I’m not certain.

I came across a copy of Mark of Athena for 3 dollars at the bookstore, so I couldn’t pass it up! This is the 3rd book in the Heroes of Olympus series. You guys know I’ve been making my way very slowly through all these books.
I’m still reading Kane Chronicles, but Heroes of Olympus is next. I’ve read the first two books, but I only own the first one. The middle-grade bargain section at my bookstore has some killer deals.
2026 is going to be my year to really focus on series.

The Marvellers was also one I found in the middle-grade bargain section. I was thinking about trying this series out next year. I was looking into some middle-grade fantasy books similar to Amari or Nevermoor and came across this one.
The Marvellers follows Ella, who is attending a magical school. She struggles to fit in, but finds some friends who help her to solve the disappearance of one of her teachers.

Holly is the second book in the Holly Gibney series. My daughter gave me this for Christmas this year. I already have it, but this one is hardcover and mine was paperback, so I’ll be keeping this one.
I will absolutely be getting to this series in 2026. I don’t have book one, which is Outsider, but I’ll get to buying it next year.
I have so many unread Stephen King books! I really need to start prioritizing them again. I put one on my TBR for January that I don’t even own.

My boyfriend bought me a special edition of Cabin Fever, the 6th book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. You know, I don’t really care for special editions. But I think I could get into them for middle-grade books.
I like pretty classics, especially ones I love, and I think I would love to have special editions of my favorite middle-grade books.
This one also came with a little ornament in the back. There is another book that has a special edition, and I might end up picking that one up, too. Will I become a special edition girlie in 2026? I can see it happening.

My most-watched channel in 2025 was one that I hadn’t watched before this year, and that is Good Mythical Morning. I saw that this cookbook had a recipe that their crew invented, which was the orange chicken parm, and I really wanted to try it.
I’m really excited to try that one and some others in here. Some are too weird for me, like the ones in the last chapter with brains in them and stuff. But, I think I could get on board with Oreo gravy.
Do you guys watch GMM? I recently started watching the Myth Munchers segment on the Mythical Kitchen channel, and I really like that, too.

My boyfriend also got me a cookbook this year, and that is the Disney Villains theme one. I’m intrigued by these recipes, especially the Unbirthday cake, which is red velvet. That is my absolute favorite!
There is also a tie-dye one, and some caramel apples. I’m excited to bake some of these. I’ve tried to make cakes homemade in the past, and they never come out, so I need some practice.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
