Hello readers! It’s time for a book tag. I found one I never heard of before, which is so rare. I am so excited to jump into this one! I haven’t done a tag in a while.
Two weeks from today is Christmas, which I’m really excited form. I didn’t have a lot of Christmas spirit last year, but I am having a great holiday this year.
The Christmas Book Blogger Tag was created by someone called Between My Lines, whose page I can’t find. I think they were a blogger?

Do you have any Christmas book traditions?

Each year when I was a kid, I read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas before bed. And, I have continued this tradition with my daughter. I had this Coca Cola Santa edition as a kid and I still have it now.
This year, I get to add my boyfriend to the tradition and we are going to watch Muppets Christmas Carol as well as that is his tradition.
You guys, my ex was so anti-Christmas. He ALWAYS tried to ruin holidays for me. My boyfriend now loves Christmas like me (not as much as me). But, it’s going to be fun doing Christmas now. No one to bring me down. No one to decide they are Jewish right before Christmas. I am having such a great time.
Do you prefer to get presents of book vouchers or books?
I would say that I prefer getting books over gift cards. However, I am at the point where I own nearly 400 books, so it’s very hard for someone to get me a book without asking for a specific one. That kind of takes away the fun of not knowing what you’re going to get.
Last year, my mom did buy books off my wishlist, which was nice. She doesn’t usually get me books. But, she got me some last year.
I LOVE getting books. I only ask for books for Christmas despite having so many. I just love books and being surrounded by them.
Do you give books as presents?
YES! I am not trying to push my hobby on everyone. BUT, I can always think of a book that someone I love would want.
My mom loves the royal family, so I bought her that Prince Harry book last year. I got her a Downton Abbey book last year, too.
This year, I got her that beautiful special edition of the first two Bridgerton books. She loves that show. And, I got this book from show The Crown.
My boyfriend reads a bit. I found him some good books, which I will mention in a Sunday Post later this month just in case he reads this.
My daughter does like reading, so I got her WAY TOO MANY books, but I always do.
I love finding the perfect gifts for people. And books are always good, even if it’s just a book that goes along with a show or something.
What bookish item is on your wishlist?
I would love some shirts with bookish phrases. I really don’t own much of any kind of bookish merch. Even if it were a bookish shirt that wasn’t for a specific book.
What 3 books would you live Santa to have in his sack for you?

I randomly came across this book while looking for something to get my boyfriend. I would LOVE to have this. Naruto is one of my favorite things. I have loved that series since I was about 12.
TMNT and Naruto sounds so chaotic, especially cos this is kid Naruto and not adult or teen Naruto.

I’m hoping to reread book one in this series at some point either this month or next month. Then, I plan to get to this one. I’ve really been hoping to continue this series for more than a year now and just haven’t gotten around to it.

This one is a book and series I’ve already read, but I’d love to own them. I really love this author in general. I have two of her books now, but I need to collect them all.
This one is a spicy nutcracker retelling that is genderbent. It’s really so amazing! I’m telling you if you ever try this series, you’ll either love or hate how bizarre it is. The ratings on Goodreads are TERRIBLE, but I love it.
Fake Christmas tree or real?
I’ve only done a real Christmas tree once. They are beautiful, but also a complete mess. Especially once they start dying and throwing all the ornaments on the ground.
It’s a great to try it at least one time, but they are a lot of work.
What’s your favorite thing about Christmas?
Honestly, the vibe. I love how happy Christmas is. When I see the snow and the lights, it brings me so much joy.
What Christmas book would you recommend?
I would always recommend A Christmas Carol. It is one of the best stories out there. And to top it off, it happens to take place at Christmas. It really shows that anyone at any time in their life can change for the better.
What dish on your Christmas menu are you most looking forward to?
I always make a double layer pineapple upside down cake every year around Christmas and it’s my favorite. Honestly, it’s the best dessert I know how to make.
When do you open your Christmas presents?
I always open presents Christmas morning. Sometimes we might do it in the late morning. I always get up super early, but my daughter gets up around noon sometimes.
What’s your favorite Christmas song?
Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?
Yes! I love to see snow at Christmas-time. It has snowed a bit here, but it’s nowhere near enough. I live in Indiana, which means it’ll be snowing one day and hot the next. It never makes any sense.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
