Hello readers! It’s a bit early in the month, but I thought I’d give you guys my TBR for September. In a few weeks, I’m going to give you guys another TBR for the Hardest Reading Challenge You’ll Ever Do along with an update on how I’ve done so far.
I’m really excited this month to start reading Christmas books. Is it too early? I’ve thought about doing a TBR just about Christmas books and movies, which I might still do. Is that too many TBRs?
I want to watch some new Christmas movies I’ve never seen before like Miracle on 34th Street or Die Hard. I remember asking last year in a tag if you guys consider Die Hard a Christmas movie. It’s just so funny to me because people are always so dead serious about their answer. 😂
I’ll do a mix of Christmas and autumnal books for this TBR. I’ve never been a Halloween lover, but to be honest, I am really excited for it this year.

Back in March I visited the Christmas Story house in Ohio and I found out the movie was based on a book. I bought myself a copy of the book and I am hoping to read it now that we are getting closer to Christmas.
It says on Goodreads In God We Trust is a comical fictionalization of Jean Shepard’s childhood.
I’m really excited to read this and compare it to the movie.

I wanted to try the Dream Harbor series last year, but I never got around to it. The first two are autumnal, but books 3 and 5 are Christmas themed.
I haven’t read a cozy mystery series I’ve enjoyed in a long time, so I hope I like this one. I haven’t experienced one that follows a different person in each book, so that will be interesting to see.
Have you guys read this series? I know it is very popular right now and a lot of people really love it.

I found out a sequel came out to Long Live the Pumpkin Queen and I cannot wait to read this. The author is different from the first one, but I am still open to see what happens.
If you like Nightmare Before Christmas, I highly recommend checking out this series. The first one follows Sally and we get to see her go through all the different doors we didn’t get to see in the movies, and find out there are even more that we didn’t get to learn about.
We also get the backstory of Sally herself and her entire family. I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t just a silly cash grab. There is a ton of lore and interesting story.
The actual plot was about the Sandman putting everyone to sleep in every universe except her and Zero, and she has to save everyone.
I have no idea what this second one is about, but I really enjoyed book one and would like to read this one, too.

For a while now, I’ve been wanting to start reading through all the SK books related to the Dark Tower so I can read through that series and I thought now would be the perfect time to start.
I have read the first Dark Tower, but it was a long time ago. I am hoping to get to it in the next year or two, but first I want to read all the books that have a cross over.
CLICK HERE to see a spreadsheet chronigalizing his books and it has info on which books are connected to Dark Tower. I found this one reddit recently and it’s been helpful to me so far.
All I know about Salem’s Lot is that it’s about vampires. I think I saw part of the miniseries as a kid, but I cannot remember it at all.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
