Hello readers! It’s time for a tag post. I’ve taken a bit of an unintended hiatus this week, but I promise that it won’t be a long-term thing. I had a big week last week with my schooling, but I am about to have a week off. I am so excited to write some posts and finish some books!
The This or That Book Tag was created by a blogger called Tea and Paperbacks, whose blog no longer exists.
Reading on the couch or on the bed?
I prefer to read on my bed. I recently bought myself a reading pillow, so it’s super comfy.
MMC or FMC?
I would say FMC. I do like to read MMC sometimes because I don’t read many books that have men as the main character.
Actually, I like when it’s both. It depends on the genre, of course. But I love when I read a romance book and we get both sides.
Sweet or salty snacks when reading?
I have to say salty. I have been cutting down on sugar in 2025, so I’ve started eating a lot more salty snacks. Mostly because I’ve been trying to take care of my teeth better this year.
Lately, I’ve been eating sour cream and onion chips, but it changes every few weeks.
Trilogies or quartets?
I love trilogies. I think they give you just the right amount of story. Not too much, but not too little. I like that they are quite formulaic in a way as well. The 2nd book in a trilogy is always my favorite because it’s the most character driven one.
First or third-peron POV?
I may have an unpopular opinion here, but I like third person. Instead of just getting the feelings and thoughts of one person, I prefer to get an overall picture.
I know many people say 3rd person isn’t as engaging, but I disagree completely.
Reading at night or in the morning?
I have been having quite the dilemma about this because I can’t concentrate on reading when I need to do my college for the day, so I can’t read early in the day. But, I also hate reading late at night these days.
If it’s 9PM, I’ll just wait until the next day. This is one reason I’ve been struggling to get back into reading, but I am trying to work on it. Let me know if you guys have any tips!
Libraries or bookstores?
I prefer libraries over bookstores. First of all, it’s free books. But, also bookstores never have what I want. And if they do, the prices are outrageous. I will always be in the bargain section at a bookstore because a fantasy book is around 30 dollars.
I’ll buy online or go to the library over my local Books-A-Million.
Books that make you laugh or make you cry?
I prefer books that make me cry. I find happy books to be kind of boring most of the time. I prefer something that is filled with emotion.
Black or white book covers?
I don’t think I have a preference here. Most of my books are black, so it is nice to see some color on the shelf even if it’s white.
Character or plot-driven stories?
I prefer a character driven book. Unless it’s a thriller or something like that.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
