Hello readers! I hope everyone has been having a great summer. For me, I hate being in the heat. But I’ve spent more time outside this year than usual.
Let’s talk about what books I’m reading in the last month of the summer. I don’t have any readathons I’m planning, other than the HRCYED. I saw a lot of people were interested in joining the challenge! I think it’ll be fun even if none of us do ALL the challenges.

My hold for How to Survive a Horror Story is coming up soon, so I should be able to get to it this next month.
At first this book sounded like your typical stranded mystery book. A bunch of people are invited to a mansion to read the will of an author who died.
But the description of the book also says the house is very hungry. Is it paranormal? I’m not certain, but I am intruiged to find out more about it.

S.A. Cosby is an author I’ve wanted to try for a long time. I am nowhere near my hold on Libby for this one, but it’s on Spotify.
This one follows a man named Roman who gets a call that his dad is in a coma from a hit and run. As he further investigates, he finds that his brother is in a lot of debt and these two things may be linked.
I’m really excited to read this one and try this author. Let me know if you guys have read anything by S.A. Cosby and what you thought!

I’ve been reconsidering my opinions on Ya lately, so I decided I want to try Iron Widow. The only reason I have never tried this book is because it’s YA.
The description of this one sounds insane. There are giant robots, psychic abilities, and vengeance. I’m excited to try this one and see what it’s all about.
It’s also a duology, so I might go ahead and binge both books if I end up loving book one. I really liked doing that with This Poison Heart.

At the current moment, Throne of Fire is the next book on my Percy Jackson read through. This is the 2nd book in the Kane Chronicles. I’m currently reading book one. I don’t know if I’ll get to this in July, but if I do, it’ll be book three on the TBR.
This one follows two siblings, Sadie and Carter. They have to save their dad from being banished by a mysterious figure. It sounds very similar to Aru Shah, to be honest.
This one follows Egyptian mythology and doesn’t cross over character wise with Percy Jackson, but it is in the same universe.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
