Hello readers! It’s been a while since I did one of these. It’s been a little over a month now. My life has just been really busy this month, but I am back with a Down the TBR Hole post.
Last time we ended with 250 books on my Want to Read shelf and now it’s at 272. I knew I entered a lot of giveaways in March but I did not realize it was over 20!
START HERE if you’ve never read one of my Down the TBR Hole posts before.
If you’ve never heard of Down the TBR Hole before, you go through 5 to 10 books per post on your Want to Read shelf on Goodreads and purge all the ones you know you won’t be getting to anytime soon. If you want to see a more detailed version of how this works, check out Jody’s post. She is doing her Down the TBR Hole posts on Thursdays if you want to check those out!

This book has been out now for 3 years and I still don’t own it nor have I gotten around to read it. I really need to get around to buying a copy of it. I honestly haven’t read a book by SJM in years and I’m not sure why that is. I own A Court of Silver Flames and haven’t read that one either.

I honestly forgot about this book. I remember adding it because I’ve liked the author before and it was her 2024 release.
I remember it being about a woman who finds out she is undocumented ends up marrying her neighbor to get a green card, but then starts to catch some real feelings for him.
I am hoping I’ll get around to read something by this author this year. I added her 2025 release to my Spring New Releases post from earlier this month, so we will just have to see what one I get to first.

This one is a middle grade graphic novel by an author I tried before, so I decided I’d read this too. My library doesn’t have it or anything, so I haven’t read it yet.
It’s about two sisters who go to a summer camp centering their Taiwanese culture and one is really into it and the other is not. The one who hates the culture just wants to assimilate to American culture and forget her roots.
I’m excited to get a hold of this one because her book Measuring Up was such a cute story.

I actually don’t know what this book is about, but I do know it’s by John Marrs and that is good enough reason for me to both keep this on my Want to Read shelf and one day actually read this book.
I really love his books, but I really only read like one a year. I really need to prioritize his books more. Especially because he publishes two books a year.

This is one I really hoped to get to in 2024. But I never got around to it. I know it’s a romance. There is some magical realism involved. I’m not fully sure, but I still am hoping to read it at some point in 2025.

I’ve read a book by this author before that was a middle grade book, so I think that is why I added it. However, I don’t remember anything about it and it just isn’t calling to me.
I might read something by this author in the future, but we will just have to see.

I am removing both of these books for the same reason, so I thought I’d just bundle them together.
I’m not sure why either of these were on my Want to Read shelf because they are both sequels in series I’ve never even read the first book in.

I’m not sure why I added this one specifically but it doesn’t look like the type of book I’d read. It may have been during my romance kick or something.
If I read a romance book, it’s going to be something that I’m much more excited for than this one.
