Hello readers! It’s time for a Sunday Post. How has everyone been these past two weeks? I’ve been super busy. Honestly, I haven’t even had time to read this whole time. I haven’t finished a single book in March. BUT I did have fun on my vacation!

Life Update:
Last weekend I went to Ohio! I was in Sandusky most of the time, but we went to a few other places. We stayed at this indoor water park called Great Wolf Lodge.

I didn’t swim or anything, but my daughter did. She did the water park, bowling, arcade room, and even the Magiquest game. It’s hard to fully explain Magiquest, but it’s like a live-action game that was all over the building we were in and they carried around magic wands that lit up and had to find different interactive things. Sort of like a scavenger hunt, but with magic wands.
The indoor water park was so HUMID. I mean, the kids had fun and that is what matters, but I didn’t like the heat. We mostly sat at the bar. This was my first time being at a bar that wasn’t at Applebees!
I don’t usually drink at all, and I never have, but I did on that Saturday. I had this watermelon vodka freeze that was so good. To be honest, I am shocked at how high my alcohol tolerance is. My mom and aunt were there, so I knew my kiddo would be fine if I let loose a bit.
Saturday morning, we went to this place called Sandusky Pancake House. HIGHLY do not recommend it. I paid 80 dollars for myself, my daughter, and my mom to eat there. Breakfast for 3 people should never be 80 dollars, especially when one of those people is a kid.
I found a new drink that I love and I’ve been trying to recreate it at home. There is a Dunkin at the Great Wolf Lodge, so we naturally went there every morning. I tried a chai tea latte and I loved it a lot.
I am not a big fan of coffee, so I’m happy to find something to drink there that isn’t. I usually get a vanilla coollata there, but the sugar content is through the roof.
On Sunday, we went to Cleveland to see the Christmas Story house. I am not gonna lie, I took over 100 photos. There is the house, the Bumpus house that you can rent as an Airbnb (but not tour), the museum, and the store.
The store was way too expensive for most of the stuff, but my mom bought a leg lamp ornament, and I got a magnet of the kid sticking his tongue to the pole.
A leg lamp is 300 dollars and their shirts were about 75. I have a Ralphie shirt already of him with the soap in his mouth and it did not cost that much.
They also sold a lot of stuff from the National Lampoon Christmas movie, which I have never seen before, and some stuff from Elf and Nightmare Before Christmas.
If you saw my Stacking the Shelves from yesterday, you’ll know I also bought the book the movie was based on, but I actually bought it online after I got home.
It was fun taking this tour, though! It’s 20 dollars per person (there were 7 of us) and you have to pay in advance. Did anyone know that this movie is supposed to take place in the 40’s? I had no idea. My mom and aunt also didn’t know that before the tour guide told us. I thought it was the 70’s this whole time.
If you love this movie or any Christmas movies, it’s totally worth going to see in person. He said half the movie was filmed there and the other half was filmed in Canada, specifically the outside scenes were in Canada because it wasn’t snowing that winter in Ohio.

Then, we saw Eerie lake. It was so cold and very windy when we went, but I couldn’t pass up seeing a great lake. The weather was crazy all weekend. I was worried a tornado was going to touch down back in Terre Haute.
Off in the distance, you can see Cedar Point, which is an amusement park on an island in Lake Eerie.
I’ve never been north or even east of Indianapolis, so I have not seen any of the great lakes in person. I’ve only been to Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Indiana (of course), and now Ohio.

I almost forgot! We also tried Crumbl. I think this does exist in Indiana, but nowhere near where any of us live.
These were pretty good. I wasn’t sure how they’d be because people on Tiktok are always on completely different ends of the spectrum when reviewing them.
The top left is Kentucky butter cookie, which I’ve never had before, bottom left is chocolate chip, which I didn’t try, bottom middle is a donut shaped one that tasted like a sugar cookie, bottom right is a key lime pie cookie, top right is a brownie, and I don’t remember what exactly the top middle was but it involved a ton of chocolate.
My favorite was honestly the donut shape one and the brownie.
I was also surprised they’re not really expensive. I think my aunt spent less than 20 bucks on these cookies, and they are pretty good size.

On Monday, we drove south to this 3 story Christmas store. I was super excited to see this place. It was everything I thought it would be and more. Next we are going to go to the one in Michigan.
This is a trip I’ve wanted to take for so long. I finally got the see the Christmas Story house after nearly a decade of wanting to go. And it really has shown me I’m not living enough. I want to see more. I’m turning 31 next week and I’ve only been to 7 states. This is the first vacation I’ve had out of state since being an adult.
Next year I am hoping to take my daughter to Washington D.C. to see the Smithsonian museum and I can’t wait to see what we do next. We are also talking about going with the same members of my family we went with for this trip to French Lick this summer. I don’t even know what is there, but I want to go anyhow.
On the Blog Last Week:
Saturday – Stacking the Shelves
Upcoming This Week:
I’m hoping for a Down the TBR Hole tomorrow, if not I’ll have it up next Monday. I want to go back to putting that out every other Monday. I’m leaning toward not doing a TBR for the month because I haven’t even read one book. I’m going to give myself April to catch up.
Reading Update:
At the moment, I am still reading Wundersmith, but I only have a few chapters left. I’m hoping to go for my Buzzwordathon books for the rest of the month if I have time, which would be Percy Jackson and the Drew Afualo book.
What I’ve Watched:
Before I went on vacation, I started a show called Search Party on HBO. The first season was pretty good, but I didn’t love season two. I might keep going, but I’m not fully sure. It didn’t go in the direction I thought it was going to go, which was a bit disappointing.
When I say that, I mean I thought it was going to be more of a detective story throughout the whole series and it isn’t.
What I’m Listening To:
Yesterday in my Stacking the Shelves post, I talked about a book I found because of this album by G Dragon. I’ve been obsessed with this album lately.
G Dragon is a member of a kpop group named Big Bang. If you guys watched season two of Squid Game, you would’ve seen Top from Big Bang who played Thanos on the show. I’m excited they are coming back into the spotlight after all this time. This group debuted 19 years ago and they haven’t really been making any music since I’ve been into kpop (6 years now), mostly because of military service.
