Alli the Book Giraffe

Hello readers! It’s time to talk about some books I bought this week. My last post before I went on vacation was a book haul, but I bought two new books this week. So, we are doing a mini haul.

I didn’t buy either on vacation, but one is connected to my vacation that I just bought when I arrived home.

So, this last week I went to Ohio and visited the Christmas Story house. We took a little tour and the tour guide told us there was a book that the movie was based on, so I decided to get a copy of it.

This is a somewhat autobiographical story about Jean Shepherd’s childhood, but there also fictionalized for entertainment. I am really excited to read this later this year to see where the movie came from.

I had no idea there even was a book! I’ll let you guys know more about my trip tomorrow in my Sunday Post.

G-Dragon came out with a new album recently called Übermensch. Once I looked this term up, I found out about this philosophy and a book behind it, which is the response to Nihilism.

If you have ever watched Bojack Horseman (which I haven’t), that show centers Nihilism a lot. It’s very dark and gloomy, but this is the opposite. It’s all about being the best version that you can be as far as I know at the moment. I’m interested in learning a lot more.

I looked up the book on Amazon and it was available for 3 dollars, so I couldn’t resist getting a copy. When do we ever find books for 3 dollars anymore?
