Hello readers! It’s time for another Sunday Post. I know I’ve slowed down posting the past few weeks, but I promise that I’m still here! How is everyone so far in 2025? I feel like this has been the slowest year so far, but not in a bad way.
The Sunday Post was created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!
Life Update:
This past week I’ve been preparing hard for my trip next weekend. And, my child’s birthday party in the summer. I have been working on my new classes and trying to do next week’s work this week, so I don’t fall behind.
I usually do college on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturdays, but this week I’ve done it nearly every day. These two new classes have a lot of reading, which is a little tedious, but it isn’t too difficult or anything.
My daughter’s birthday isn’t until July, but we are doing the party in June so the kids at school can come. I have been planning it out a lot this month, even though its 3 months away. I just wanted to be extra prepared.
I’m not sure what all we are doing in Cleveland, but we are staying from the 14th to the 17th at a indoor water park, so I had to get my kiddo a bathing suit this week.
Has anyone ever been to Washington D.C. ? The next place I want to visit is DC because my daughter and I want to visit the Smithsonian museum.
Books I Bought:

So, y’all know I’ve been rereading the Percy Jackson series. And upon researching a little more, I should read these next. Check out Righter of Words’ post if you are interested in the suggested reading order.
I know they aren’t connected as far as characters go. But, they follow Egyptian mythology and are similar to Percy Jackson. I am almost done reading Percy Jackson, and I wanted to get these while they were on sale on Amazon as well.
I also learned recently that Percy Jackson now has 7 books, but in that post it says to read those later on, so that is what I’m going to do.

My daughter really loves Warrior Cats, so I bought her a ton of the books this month for her birthday. Her party is actually going to be Warrior Cats themed. I was checking out their website this month and there are literally over 140 books AND COUNTING.
I was looking at the Walmart Website and I found these 3 manga series in a box set for 22 dollars, and I couldn’t pass it up! Technically, it’s actually 9 books in 3, and they’re in color. So, I got 9 out of the 21 mangas for 22 bucks! I can’t complain there. Especially because it’s going to take me A WHILE to get them all.

For Christmas, I got her the 1st series, being The Prophecies Begin, and the 2nd series, being The New Prophecy for 50 bucks on Amazon, and now I found a box set of series 3, Power of Three, and series 4, Omen of the Stars for 63 dollars. These 12 book box sets are usually in the range of 80 dollars, so I’ve been watching and waiting for the price to drop to get them.
I might go ahead and get some more in a few months, but we will have to see. It’s so crazy long that I feel like I’ll never catch up. But, I am going to try my best, even if it takes me a few years to get them all.

Upcoming This Week:
This week I am hoping to get out a Top Ten Tuesday post and then a post on Thursday or Friday of new releases I’m excited to read in the Spring. I’d love to post the tag I created, but I’m still working on it. And I won’t have a Sunday Post next week.
Reading Update:

I’m hoping to finish Wundersmith today. I am LOVING this book. I really enjoyed book one, but I like this one even more.
In this one, we follow Morrigan going to a magical school. There is also a few mystery plots happening at the same time. I can’t wait to see how everything wraps up!
This is my first book of Middle Grade March, but I am hoping to finish two books before my trip. I’ll let you guys know on Wednesday how I’ve done.
What I’ve Watched:
This week I’ve watched a few shows. I’m still on a true crime kick. You know, I do listen to a lot of podcasts, but I don’t watch true crime shows as much anymore.
Dancing For the Devil was one I started a few months ago and just never finished. So, I restarted this one and watched it all the way through. It was pretty good. I really am fascinated by cults. I just feel bad for all the families of the people who are part of the cult.
The Program: Cons, Cults and Kidnapping is one about teen behavior schools. I knew a little about this topic beforehand. It was very interesting to see all the awful things the kids went through and how they went home, told their parents, and none of them believed their kids. It’s honestly cruel. And, the creator of the documentary literally was sent there for drinking a beer. I mean, lots of teens do that.
I would say be very weary of watching this one or the movie I mention next because there are graphic videos. And it’s bad. This one has videos of the employees beating the boys, and the movie under this had a video of them suffocating a kid to death. These were not easy to watch. I don’t know what the solution is to stopping these sorts of schools/camps, but there has to be something.
Hell Camp: Teen Nightmare was another teen behavioral program that was VERY different from the first. But it was equally horrifying. In The Program, the kids are locked inside 24/7 and in this movie, they are forced to hike for hundreds of miles outside. Both made me wonder how on earth any of that is supposed to fix a kid’s behavior. What does walking for hundreds of miles help?
