Hello readers! It’s been a while since I’ve updated, so let’s talk about some things. It’s my birthday month! So, I am excited for that. I am also going to be going on a mini vacation this month with some family members in March. And, my 2nd term of college is ending today.

Life Update:
In the past two weeks, I’ve been pretty busy. February was just a busy month for me in general. With schooling and regular life things.

My mom’s birthday was on the 22nd, so we went down the my aunt’s house and had a little party and dinner. I made the banana split cheesecake as her birthday cake.
The next day, we went to the Maple Festival in Rockville, Indiana. This was something I had never heard of before, but my aunt goes every year and we decided to tag along. We bought some homemade maple syrup and candies. They also had a pancake breakfast and lots of other homemade items to buy. All the vendors had stores in other locations and some even gave out coupons, which was amazing.
I also went shopping this weekend for some new outfits for myself and my child, even though she really doesn’t need any clothes. I really wanted to get something nice to wear for our vacation. And I randomly found a bookish vase, check out my TikTok to see it!
I think I told you guys at the end of 2024 that I wanted to visit the Christmas Story house in 2025. My aunt also really loves Christmas, so I thought it would be perfect to see if she’d want to go to. We decided to just go now instead of waiting for the fall because it’ll probably be a bit cheaper and less busy right now.
I’m super excited to finally go! And we are visiting a Christmas store in Ohio while we are there. I’ve actually never been to Ohio before, so that’ll be exciting, too! It’s going to be me, my mom, my daughter, my aunt, her two youngest daughters, and probably one of her daughter’s friends. My uncle is going to take their camper over to Ohio so we can stay in it there and I think it’ll be a lot of fun.
I’ve also finished my 2nd term as of today in college and I’ll be starting my third one tomorrow. I believe I’ll be making honor roll again, which I am so happy about. Honestly, I am just so excited to NOT be in microeconomics anymore. I barely understand this class at all, but I’ve managed to keep my grade up.
This upcoming week, I am starting two new courses being Applied Marketing and Applied Statistics. I’m not sure how to feel about these courses yet, but I hope they aren’t too difficult.

Upcoming This Week:
I am honestly not sure what I’ll have up this week. I am hoping for a Down the TBR Hole post on Monday and a tag post on Thursday, but I will have to see what I have time for.
Reading Update:

I am hoping to get to Wundersmith today. I did start it last night, but I only read one chapter so far.
I recently heard that this series is supposed to have 9 books and there are quite a few years in between each release, so I am not looking forward to that. BUT, I am still excited to get to the series. I just hope it doesn’t take another five years for the next one.
What I’ve Watched:
This last week I watched three true crime series on Hulu. The first one is the Herb Baumeister one being Fox Hollow Murders: Playground of a Serial Killer. This series was so interesting. Baumeister was actually from Indianapolis, Indiana, so I have heard a lot about his case outside of this series. This series had a lot of new information, which was great to see. I hate that he had so many victims and most of them have never been identified.
The second series I watched was Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke. This one I remember happening in real time, but this still added a lot to the story. Ruby Franke ran a family channel and has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for child abuse. I am adamantly against family channels, so the only reason I even knew who she was is because she was mistreating those kids for YEARS.
I don’t feel like they ground into her husband enough when he was being interviewed. He literally let all these bad things happen to his kids.
The last one I watched was Scamanda. This series follows a woman who faked cancer. I’ve actually seen this happen a few times over the years. This woman went to jail for wire fraud and is now out. I just hope she doesn’t scam anyone else.
What I’m Listening To:
My absolute favorite song this past month has been Python by GOT7. It’s been great to see them reunite after so long with such a great song.
I’ve also discovered a Jpop group called Number_I that I’m really loving right now. They have sort of rock/rap music. I haven’t heard this before in the Jpop space, so it’s exciting. However, I don’t know of a lot of Jpop groups.
