Hello readers! It’s Sunday and that means it’s time for another Sunday Post. I am happy to be back at it. I think it’s been around 3 weeks since I last wrote one.
The Sunday Post was created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!
Life Update:
These last few weeks I’ve done a bit of shopping for my Mom’s birthday and Valentine’s Day. I made bags for myself, my mom, and my daughter.

I found these really cute Squishmallow cookies for my daughter to give out to her friends on Valentine’s Day. I sort of feel bad that she never had the experience to give out those tiny Valentine’s Day cards in elementary school because she didn’t go. So, I am making it up by getting her these.
They are supposed to be put together into one boquet, but she is just going to give them out to her friends. And she LOVES Squishmallows, so I know she’ll love giving these out to her friends.

We went mini golfing at the mall. This was sort of mini golfing, and it was kind of virtual, too. Instead of counting how many hits, it’s about getting the ball in as fast as you can. One of the holes was a pinball machine.
It was really fun and was only 10 dollars per person. It is so hard to do anything these days with kids that isn’t extra expensive.
Yesterday, I got up early to take my daughter to this choir competition she has been preparing for since December and she got a gold medal.
We went to the new library in our town afterwards. They opened this new branch that is child centered and it’s a little creepy because it used to be a funeral home. But it was really nice! They didn’t have many books, but it was more of a space to hang out for kids with slides and fun things to do.

Reading Update:

I am hoping to finish Titan’s Curse today. I have not been prioritizing reading enough this month and I am going to try to do better this week.
I’ve also read two of the short stories in the HP Lovecraft book I’m reading. Mostly, I am just excited to get to the last one, which is Call of Cthulu. It seems online that most people think it’s one of his best works, so I can’t wait to read it.
What I Watched:
I’ve been watching the most recent season of Masterchef where they do the generational war and I feel like the judges are trying so hard to find something wrong with the food half the time. It’s silly that they judge stuff before they even taste it and then can’t even admit they are wrong when the food isn’t even bad. I just really do not like this season at all.
Other than that, I rewatched the new It movies for the first time. I really think they are so good. These movies really bring the scare factor. I like that the horror isn’t the same all the way through. Sometimes there is chasing, sometimes it’s gross, and sometimes Pennywise is just terrorizing them.
I watched Trap, which was directed by M Night Shyamalan. The main character is a serial killer who the police are trying to catch by trapping him in this concert. There were some good scenes in the movie, but I do think it could’ve been better.
The last movie I watched was Watchers. This was directed by Shyamalan’s daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan, so I decided to check it out. It follows Mina, played by Dakota Fanning, who gets trapped in a forest in Ireland with these three other strangers. It’s paranormal, which I was not expecting at all. It sort of reminded me of a movie called Vivarium, but Vivarium was much weirder.
If I could give a movie a rating, I would give watchers a 4 star. I really enjoyed it and all the lore of the paranormal aspects. I don’t want to say to much because of spoilers.
What I’m Listening To:
This is honestly my most played song of the last 12 months, but I have yet to mention it. This is probably the first time I’m also mentioning a non-Kpop song. I do listen to other things, but I don’t listen to much outside of it.
