Hello readers! It’s time for a Book Blogger Hop post. I thought this was an interesting one because the way I interact with series has drastically changed over time.
What do you think about binging series? Don’t be afraid to drop a link to your post! I will always check it out if you do.
If you’ve never heard of Book Blogger Hop, it is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addict. Each week a discussion topic is given and many book bloggers post based on that topic. New topics start on Friday and end the following Thursday. I personally always post my answers on Sundays.

February 7-13: Do you prefer to read series one book after another, or can you read other books in between?
When I was first really getting into reading series, I was in high school. I participated in the vampire craze like everyone else, so of course I read Twilight and all those other ones.
Back then, I would binge series all at once. I would get as many as my mother would allow me to, or I’d get them all from the library and read the whole series at one time.
Once I got a little older and joined the book community, I started to realize that binging books like that would cause me not to be able to remember books apart. I couldn’t tell you if something happened in Twilight or New Moon. In my head, it would all be one long story.
So, I now have decided to intentionally pace myself with series. If I ever get into a conversation with someone else in the book community about the 2nd or 3rd book in a series, I want to remember which part took place in that book.
Nowadays, I will intentionally read at least one book between each book in the series to distinguish them apart. I kind of like reading one book in a month like I’ve been doing with Percy Jackson. It really helps me to enjoy the story and take it in without blurring all the books together.
