Down the TBR Hole 15

Down the TBR Hole

Hello readers! It’s time to go over my Want to Read shelf again. Last time, we ended with 247 books on my Want to Read shelf, and we are starting with 260. I’ve added some new releases recently, but I didn’t realize there were so many. I am hoping to go over 10 books this round again, so let’s jump into it!

START HERE if you’ve never read one of my Down the TBR Hole posts before.

I know this one is a scifi book that centers on robots and AI, which are my favorite kind.

I still really hope to get to this on at some point in the future, so I am keeping it for now. I do love this type of scifi, I just don’t read it enough.

This one is also a scifi book. It follows a man who gets stuck inside of a whale. So, it’s sort of a scifi-horror, which is also a genre I nearly never get around to, but always love.

I think if you are thalassophobic or claustraphobic, this may not be the book for you. But I really think I’ll love it when I get around to it. So, I’ll be keeping this one as well.

Yet another scifi, but this one is YA and dystopian. It’s sort of a futuristic retelling of Marie Antoinette where she is a really famous influencer.

There are many people who love it and a lot who hated it, too. So, it can go either way. I’ll be keeping it because I am both excited to try it, and also I own a copy of the book.

This is the sequel to Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries that I have still yet to get to. I am hoping to get to it this year at some point. I know it won’t be this month and probably not in March either, but it will be eventually.

My TBR is full for February and March is Middle Grade March, so I’ll be prioritizing middle grades even more than I already have in 2025 so far.

The thing is, I really enjoyed book one, but I just don’t have the calling to read book two, but I also really want to get to it. I don’t know what it is about it.

This is the last book in the Wayward Children series. It just came out in January and I’m on the waitlist currently on Libby. And I’m currently 12 weeks away from getting it, but I could always end up getting it sooner.

I am definitely going to keep this one and read it as soon as I can get a hold of it in 2025.

Wow. I forgot this book existed, but this honestly is just reminding me to read it. I don’t currently have Kindle Unlimited, but when I get it back later in the year, I want to get to this one. I just don’t want to get KU back until I know I’ll get a lot of use out of it and I am not in the romance mood much right now.

This one was a romance about a woman who joins a couple and they become a trio. She had dated one of them before, many years before this, and then ran into him later in life. I really enjoyed this one and I’d love to finish the series. I remember it wasn’t out yet when I read the first book and I guess I forgot to read it when it was published.

I’m putting all three of these together because I don’t remember any of them.

Honestly, I have no idea what these books are about or why I added them, so I am going to go ahead and remove all three. No use in reading the synopsis, keeping them, and then forgetting all over again.

This is one I was excited to read, but honestly. I looked at the Goodreads page and the ratings are really bad. YA thrillers are so hit or miss for me already, so I don’t want to waste my time with one that I might really not like.

Let me know if you’ve read this one and if you liked it! I may be convinced to add it back, but I really don’t want to read it in anticipation that I won’t like it.
