Hello readers! It’s the first Sunday Post of 2025. It’s been an equally relaxing and productive week for me, which has been a nice balance.
The Sunday Post was created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!
Life Update:
This week I just hung out at home for the most part. I had no college to do for the past two weeks, which has been so nice. Half of my break I was sick, but it wasn’t too bad.
I spent a lot of New Year’s Eve cleaning the house and my bedroom. I just wanted to go into 2025 with an extra clean house. I don’t think my bedroom has ever looked this nice in my whole life.
I have been doing my diamond paintings and listening to audiobooks a lot, but also reading with my eyes. I have to start school back up tomorrow and I’m ready for it! I have a microeconomics class and a history class this 8 weeks. I’ll then have some sort of statistic class and a marketing course, which is the first one that really goes toward my major.
My daughter had her 2nd outing with her Big this weekend. It was so nice because she got to go to this local cat cafe. She said it has 18 different cats that are adoptable. I haven’t had a chance to make it over there myself just yet.
I’ve gone 11 days in a row on Duolingo to learn Korean. The Korean on there is not great, but I am still learning a lot. The pronunciation isn’t the best and there are very few lessons compared to Spanish on there.
I am hoping to get some physical books in the future to read in Korean for beginners. Back in 2023, I got one of these types of books in French for my husband for Christmas.

You guys, I nearly cried watching the ball drop on New Year’s Eve. 2024 was one of the hardest years for me and I am so happy to see it over. It really marked a new beginning for me. I am so happy doing my own thing and pursuing my career I want along with my favorite hobbies.
I never really noticed how much that person was bringing me down. He would put down all my hobbies to the point where I was afraid to share them with anyone outside of reading, of course.
I did 3 of those diamond paintings in 2024, which was one thing I was always discouraged to do. I am also hoping to make a lot of celebratory cakes in 2025. I wanted to in 2024 and then was told I was making everything about myself. I don’t know. I just feel so FREE. Free from that person, situation and 2024 as a whole.
On the Blog Last Week:

Upcoming This Week:
This week I have a Down the TBR Hole coming on Monday and I’m planning a Book Blogger Hop post for Saturday. It has been so long since I did one of those. I’ll most likely do a WWW Wednesday post this week as well as I’ve been reading a lot.
Reading Update:

Today I am planning to start The Trials of Morrigan Crow. This is my 3rd book of the month and the 3rd one on my wheel. I really am feeling rejuvenated this year! I already have finished two books in the first four days of the month.
I didn’t realize how much I’d really enjoy having a set TBR. Of course, I make TBRs all the time, but I don’t stick to them 100%. Usually the TBR is more about what I am feeling that month, not a concrete list like with the TBR wheel.
I know this one follows a girl who is destined to die on her 11th birthday and she gets whisked away to a magical place called Nevermoor.
What I Watched:
This week I watched a few things. I watched The Trunk, which I didn’t realize was a romance. But I still enjoyed it a lot. I don’t usually watch romances. The Trunk is a mystery series mixed with a romantic subplot. It follows a man whose wife divorced him and she wants him to marry this other woman for a year to win her back.
Gong Yoo is such an amazing actor. I didn’t even mention how good his character was in Squid Game season 2. I’d love to see him play a villain character like that again. In the Trunk, he is a drug addicted insomniac who thinks his only worth is in his ex wife. It’s really sad to be honest.
I also started a Japanese show called The Black Swindler. It’s about this man named Kurosaki who scams people who scam people. I am really enjoying it so far.
