Hello readers! WOW. It’s been a long time since I did a book haul. I think I’ve only done one this entire year and it was in February. Anyhow, let’s talk about the books I received for Christmas!
I usually don’t get books for Christmas, but this past two years I’ve received over 10 books! It’s been really nice. Not just because I’m getting books, but because I feel as though my main hobby is being recognized by my family members.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Reading Reality. You can click the link to get all the details, but in short, it is for sharing your new books!

The first book is Holly by Stephen King, which I have been wanting to get for a while, but it’s also the third book in a series. I own the 2nd book being If It Bleeds, but not the first one, which is The Outsider. I don’t think King was planning all of this to be a series until this one came out last year.
I really need to finish the Bill Hodges series so I can get The Outsiders and catch up on this one! Book four comes out in May and I’d love to actually read a Stephen King book the year it comes out for once.

I got this beautiful edition of The Count of Monte Cristo for Christmas. It has golden pages on it and it’s really so pretty. I’ve never had an edition from the imprint before, but it’s making me want to try to get more from it in the future.
This gives me more reason to read this book in 2024 like I’ve been wanting to for too long now.

Next was books 17 and 18 in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. I didn’t like book 16, but that won’t stop me from reading on until the author finished writing books in it.

This is a picture book that was written by Brandon Sanderson. I went ahead and read it Christmas day. It was an interesting one. The book you are reading and the one in the pictures is very different. I think this book is really about having a very active imagination.
I think it could’ve been longer, but I still enjoyed it and am happy to have it as part of my collection of Brandy Sandy books.

The last thing I got was this box set of every(?) HP Lovecraft story. I am not sure if it’s all of his works, actually.
But I’ve been wanting to try his works for a while now. I like Lovecraftian horror, so I would love to see the source of the inspiration for that genre of horror.
