Hello readers! It’s time for my January TBR. This time I picked (most) of my TBR with my new TBR wheel.
I do want to let you guys know that there won’t be a post tomorrow. I am actually feeling a little bit sick when I’m writing this and I just feel like taking Christmas off in general. BUT Blogmas will be back on the 26th!
If you’d like to watch the Wheel of TBR video, you can go to my TikTok or YouTube, as we don’t know how much longer we will have TikTok. Otherwise, stick around to see my TBR below, including two that were not in that video.
I’m so excited for this TBR because it’s full of books I physically own, which is going to be a big priority for me in 2025.

SERIES
The first prompt was SERIES, which I decided to add Family of Liars. This was on my TBR for December, but I just didn’t get around to reading it.
I also wanted to add this one because it fits the Buzzword prompt for Lie or Truth in the title.
As a bonus, I’ll be finishing a series! I kind of want to read this one first so I can finish a series first thing in 2025. It always feels amazing to get to your goals early on.

COLOR: Orange
For this one, I spun the wheel to get a random color that needs to be on the cover of the books. We got orange, which made me panic a little. I feel like this isn’t a common color on books.
In this picture, this cover looks very brown, but I promise in person the book is orange.
Sea of Monsters is book two in the Percy Jackson series and I’m making my way through a reread in 2025 to finish the Heroes of Olympus.

NB
This prompt was NB, which is a non-binary author. I only recently learned that Sonora Reyes is non-binary.
Anyhow, this book is one I’ve had now since Christmas of 2023 and it’s time to get to it! It’s by the same author as the Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School and I loved that one, so I know I’ll love this, too.

LIBRARY
I have two physical books out from the library right now, so I decided to go with one of those. I’ve read The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick, so I wanted to try another one of his books.
These books are told in mostly pictures. So even though it’s 600+ pages, they take 30 or so minutes to get through. I’m excited to try this one and I’ll have to get more of them in the future.

TBR JAR
This TBR Jar is also going to come out every single month to get through some of my physical TBR, but for this month, we are pulling two books as it came up as a prompt.
Also my rule for the TBR jar is that I will unhaul the book if I don’t read it in the month because this physical TBR of mine is out of hand.
I am actually very happy Sweet Tooth came up here because I’ve been thinking about unhauling it for a long time now. This will force me to try it and decide if I will ever read it.
Trials of Morrigan Crow is the first book in a middle grade series. I know it follows Morrigan, who is destined to die on her birthday and is whisked away to some sort of magical realm.
This one I actually want to read still and even own book two in the series, so I hope I love it!

Buzzword Cover Challenge: Patterned Cover
More Than This is one I’ve also thought about unhauling for a while now, so I wanted to get it on this TBR. It’s the only book I have with a patterned cover, so we are reading it in January.
I hope I love this one, but I’m also excited to find out if I want to keep it or unhaul it in January. Have you guys read Patrick Ness before? I feel like he is pretty beloved in the book community, but I’ve never read a book by him before.

The Last book on my TBR is Malice by John Gwynne. I decided to join Becca and the Books (on YouTube) read along of this series. This one was for November and December, but the live show isn’t until half way through January.
My plan is to start it at the end of the month and then finish it early in January. I’ve owned this book for so long now that I just want it off my TBR, even if I’ll have to buy the rest of the series after.
