2025 Reading Challenges

Hello readers! I thought today I could talk about some reading challenges I am planning to try in 2025. I love challenges and I also want to make up for the fact that I didn’t do any in 2024!

I’m going to tell you guys about the challenge and maybe some books that I want to read for the challenges.

Let me know what challenges you are trying out in 2025! I have seen dozens just about everywhere this month, so there really is one for everyone.

I said I wasn’t going to do this again if I didn’t do well in 2024. BUT I didn’t really read for most of the year, so we are trying this again!

I’ll go ahead and tell you what I think I’ll read for the first three months, and then update you in 3 months for the next 3.

For January, I have Family of Liars for Truth or Lies, February is water related words, so I added Back Water Sister, and March is Thing, so I added Loud: Accept No(thing) Less Than the Life You Deserve.

I am so excited to see there is a spin on this challenge in 2025! Ideally, I’d like to try and hit the title AND cover in the same challenge, but heck, I don’t mind if I have to read two books.

Again, we will look into my first three months and I’ll update again in a few months.

For a patterned cover, I chose More Than This, for February’s skyline prompt, I added Magnolia Parks, and March may be a bit of a stretch for books on the cover, but I have Inkheart. I chose this because you can see the book cover being burned and see some of the pages on the inside. It’s like a self aware book cover, lol.

The other challenge I hope to get to this year is the Read Harder Challenge for 2025. There are 24 prompts and I’ll try to get to at least 12 of them in 2025. I have no idea where I will start for those.

Are you guys doing any reading challenges in 2025? I have seen DOZENS of them this month and honestly wanted to do so many.

  1. There are so many challenges and I love contemplating them every year but I’m also terrible at completing any of them. I’m kind of proud that I completed two this year (even if it was a struggle to get there)! 🤣 I’m planning to do the Buzzword Titles challenge again in 2025 and I was tempted to do the Buzzword cover challenge too but I’m planning to do a few others so I won’t pile on too much. 🫣 Good luck with these and happy reading!
