Hello readers! One of my goals in 2024 was to finish a bunch of series, but you guys know I didn’t read very much. So, we are carrying it into 2025 with more of a plan.
I always seem to carry out my plans better when I have a list to follow.

When I bought myself a copy of MAUS, I was not aware it wouldn’t be the whole story. It was only part one of two.
It is a true story, mostly following Art Spiegelman’s father in Poland during the Holocaust, but it also follows his mom a little, too.
I really hope to get the 2nd book in the series at some point so I can finish this series. It’s such a great book that I’d recommend to anyone. It’s actually a graphic novel where nazi’s are depicted as cats, Jews are mice, and I think the polish people were pigs.

I read books one and two in the Bill Hodges trilogy in 2023 and just never got around to End of Watch. I’d really love to get to this one in 2025!
It’s over 400 pages, but these books are pretty quick. Book 1, Mr. Mercedes, follows Bill, who is a retired police officer.
He is investigating this man who drove his car into a crowd of people. This villain was insanley evil. And, I loved that about him. We do get the perspective of him as well. He literally killed a bunch of people, including a baby, considers poisoning children and even a dog, and also was physically attracted to his mother.
I highly recommend these books if you like thrillers and I really hope to get to the last one VERY soon.

This is the final book in the Wayward Children series. Jeez, I’ve been reading this series since 2019 when there was only 4 books.
I am excited to see how it ends. There has been quite a few really good books in this series and a few that I really didn’t enjoy as well. Despite that, I do love it overall and I even reread the first 4 books last year and then caught up on it completely so I could finish it next year.

It’s a little ridiculous how many series I only have the one book left in.
I wanted to read a ton of Sanderson books this year and I was starting with finishing this series, but I never got around to it. I actually don’t even own The Lost Metal.
Once I get myself a copy of this one, I will have to finish this series. And, then I can probably start getting farther into the Storm light Archive. Who knows?

The last one I have is the Robert Langdon series. I have literally owned every book in this series for at least 5 years now.
I read Angels and Demons and Davinci Code quite a few years ago now and it’s time for me to get to the rest of the series.
I don’t love the way Dan Brown writes women, but his books area really amazing when it comes to cults and things. I am always amazed at how much research it probably took to make these books factually accurate despite being fiction novels.
Now these other series are going to be ones I want to finish, but also need to reread what I have read to get there.

So, I’ve read the first two books in this series and would love to continue, but I don’t remember enough to just start with book three.
I remember that Percy is in book two and have no idea if he is in any of the other books. Each one follows 3 different characters, and those 3 characters are different in every book.
I would just love to continue in the Percy Jackson world so I can one day finish it.

Originally this series was finished and the author added more books on. So, in 2023 I decided to make my way back through this series.
I think I reread 4 of the books, so I still need to reread books 5 through 7, and then read books 8 and 9. I think the series is over, but I also thought that when there were only 7 books.
Seriously, book 8 was published EIGHT years after book 7. This is honestly such a big pet peeve of mine when an author adds onto a finished series MANY years later, but I still want to re-finish it.

I read the first two in this series back in 2019, I think. It’s a 6 book series following two girls who end up in a place with two schools, one for good and one for evil. They both get sorted into each school and it divides them.
It challenges stereotypes. It challenges inherently good and bad characters in fairytales and just has a lot to say about characteristics of fairytales in general.
