The Sunday Post #49

Hello readers! It’s Sunday again! Only two more Sundays in 2024. This has been a good month so far. I am approaching my last week of college for the year and I’m so excited to have a little time off from it all to read more.

Life Update:

This week I attended my daughter’s first Choir concert. They sang a song in Latin and Hebrew, which was interesting. The 7th graders also did a song in Japanese.

strawberry cake
homemade gingerbread cookies

I baked a cake this week and gingerbread cookies. The cake is a box cake, but still good.

I know the cookies don’t look the best, but they tasted amazing. I’ll probably use a cookie cutter next time or something, but they were perfectly chewy in the inside and a little crunch on the outside.

If you guys are interested, please check out my video vlogging creating my TBR wheel. It took around 5 hours to make, but it was so worth it! I am planning on doing my TBR every month on the wheel. I’m hoping to upload it to TikTok and YouTube, and maybe a speed round version on Instagram.

I’ll still be doing TBRs on here, but I’ll also link the video so you guys can watch it if you’d like to. I’ll be spinning the wheel 5 times and then also picking a book I own out of a TBR jar.

Reading Update:

I started a book on Friday that is the third book in a cozy mystery series I started last month. I’m really enjoying read it so far. It’s a very classic cozy mystery series. This one follows the MC and her partner at the cupcake bakery entering a baking competition.

So far, this series started in the late 2000s and it hasn’t been offensive in any way, which I was worried about.

I started the Hannah Swenson series quite a few years ago and the number of times it used the r slur and slut shamed female characters was so off-putting, so I didn’t want to run into that again.

What I Watched:

This week I watched the most recent season of The Great Food Truck Race and I honestly didn’t love this season. There used to be so many fun challenges and I don’t really like who won.

I just feel like this show used to be so much better than it is now and I’m hoping it gets it’s spark back next time.

I’ve also been binging Eat the Menu on the Try Guys channel because Ateez was on it. I mean, I’ve watched the Try Guys since they were on Buzzfeed, but I haven’t watched them much over the past two years. Ateez got me back into it. I CANNOT believe they’ve been making videos for 10 years. I feel so old!
