Wrapping Up What I Read From May-October

Hello readers! I thought I’d give you guys a wrap up on what I read back in May and October. I didn’t read anything in June to September. But, I did finish 3 books in May and two right at the end of October.

Usually, I don’t care about the Met Gala at all. But, I was intrigued when I saw the theme, which was The Garden of Time, was inspired by a book. Well, it’s more of a short story.

This book perfectly represents the type of people who go to the Met. The ones like Camilla Cabello, who was carrying a 22 thousand dollar purse made of ice when there are millions of Americans who don’t even have access to clean water.

It follows a rich couple who keep plucking these flowers that both slow and turn back time while a mob of commoners are coming to kill them. There is so much they could do to fix the situation, but instead they sit in their giant mansion, plucking their flowers. But, the flowers are becoming fewer and fewer.

This was an ARC I received from the author. It is a sequel to Eden in Sunder. Eden in Sunder takes place in Eden and follows Lillith. It’s quite the interesting retelling of the story of Paradise Lost.

This is honestly unlike anything I’ve read so far. Arianna Isabella is such a great writer and I loved reading both of these books.

Tainted Truths is the 2nd and final book in the Torn Loyalties Duet. The first book follows two people who are divorced. The woman gets into an accident and loses all her memory, and the only emergency contact she had was her ex husband.

The reunite and begin to rekindle what they had before while we slowly learn what happened between them before. Both books have their twists and turns, and plenty of spice, too.

I read the 5th book in the Mr. Lemoncello’s Library series. This one follows Simon, who is not our usual main character. It also doesn’t take place anywhere near a library, but it was still as good as all the rest.

I know I’ve talked about it a lot since coming back, but it’s only because it is one of my favorite series I’ve ever ra

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is another of my favorites. I’ve been reading it since I was around 13 years old.

This one follows Greg deciding he wants to be in the Olympics when he grows up, so he tries to be more athletic.

This was not my favorite in the series. It just wasn’t as funny as the books usually are, and where was Rowley through the book? Did they stop adding in Rowley once his own series started? I don’t know why he can’t be in both.

Honestly, none of Greg’s usual friend group made an appearance here! I missed seeing them all. There are already 3 more out in the series and I’ll be reading them one of these days.
