The Sunday Post 33

The Sunday Post

Hello readers! It’s time for another Sunday post. Happy Easter to all those who celebrate! It is a weird year having it in March. We were actually supposed to go to this homeschool egg hunt this week and it got cancelled the night before, which sucked.

Did the area where you add a thumbnail move for ayone else? I thought it disappeared completely, but I later found it.

The Sunday Post was created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!

Life Update:

For my birthday this week, we went to Outback Steakhouse. I know, I said we were going to this Indian place, but I was craving a bloomin onion last minute, so we changed it.

Turns out, my child does not like the bloomin onion. Y’all should’ve seen her face when she ordered a burger and they brought it back with the same onions on it after she asked them not to. 🤣

We then went to the shoe store because my daughter said her shoes were too small and we then ended up at the bookstore, which happens to be right next to the shoe store. She kind of at the age where shoes aren’t as fun. When she was in kid size shoes, we would just go back to the store every year and buy her the exact same Frozen shoes because she loved them. And, now shoes are just plain colored. No more Frozen, Hello Kitty or glittery shoes.

I got this ramen bowl that is Nightmare Before Christmas themed and it came with chopsticks. I haven’t ever eaten ramen with chopsticks before, but I’m going to try it for the first time this week.

Can you use chopsticks? I know most people cannot even hold them. It isn’t too hard once you get used to it.

This year I put a ton of bath bombs in my daugter’s basket. She LOVES bath bombs. The little flamingo is part of one, but there are also donut and shell shaped ones. I’m hoping she really loves them!

Weirdly enough, I have bought many bath bombs for other people and have even made them before, but I’ve never used one.

I am writing this Saturday night, so I don’t know what she thinks of it yet, but I’m sure she’ll love it.

You wanna hear a funny story? The first year my step daughter lived with us, I went all out for her first basket. We didn’t hide it that well because she was 4, and she couldn’t find it after 30 minutes. So, I point it out to her and she looks at me dead in the eyes and says, “Um, that is a bucket, not a basket.” I didn’t know I had to clarify. 😂🤣

On the Blog Last Week:

Thursday – Quarter Year Crisis Book Tag

Friday – Let’s Talk Bookish: Annotating

Upcoming This Week:

Check out the bottom of this post to see my plans for April!

I Got a Book!:

I cannot actually believe I found a Brandon Sanderson book at the bookstore! They had Mistborn era 2, Rhythm of War, Tress of the Emerald Sea, and Yumi and the Nightmare Painter. So, I got Yumi and the Nightmare Painter.

I hope they extend this section the next time I go! Do you guys ever have a hard time picking something at the bookstore? I walk around forever without knowing what to get.

My mom told my daughter to go check out the kids book section, and this kid came back with a stack of 5 books, one of which she already had. And, we told her she could only get one.

So, she got the first book in this series called Surivors, which is a spin off series of Warriors. This one centers dogs and Warriors centers cats. I know they existed when I was a kid, but I never read them. I have no idea what they are even about.

What I Watched:

This week I started season one of Hell’s Kitchen. This show is so unhinged toward the beginning. I feel like that era when it was totally fine for people to be ruthlessly mean on TV was a weird one. And, I’m glad it isn’t like that much anymore. I mean, I’m not saying it’s bad to give a critique, but there is no reason to be so damn mean about it.
