Stacking the Shelves #9

Hello readers! This last week I took a trip to Books a Million and got some new books, so I thought I’d share them with you. I got a gift card for Christmas that I kept forgetting to put in my purse, so it took me a while to spend it.

Seriously, every time we were on that side of town, I would remember that I didn’t have that dang gift card! I mean, I could’ve gone there without it, but I didn’t really want to.

How often do you guys shop for books in person? I really do not do it often at all. I like to go to the bookstore, but I still don’t do it much.

Also, my BAM has announced they aren’t buying books back anymore, which sucks. I usually go to the bookstore with a budget in mind, and it’s really fun to try to get as many used or sale books as I can. They still have the sales, but not used. That was also the only place I could go to sell books I wanted to unhaul.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Reading Reality. You can click the link to get all the details, but in short, it is for sharing your new books!

I bought myself my own copies of Dreamland Billionares! I read this series in the fall and really loved it. Honestly, it’s the best popular booktok series that I have read.

Each one follows a brother who has to perform a task in order to gain their inheritance. If any of them do not do what they have to, none of them get it. Dreamland is basically Disneyland and each one has a different relationship with the company. Also, they are all spicy romances.

My favorite was book two in the series, but the ending of the whole series was really good. I loved that the last one has a romance where one person is a parent. There isn’t enough single parent romances out there!

I also picked up the first and only book published in the Lakefront Billionares series. The last book in Dreamland Billionares takes place at this house on a lake, and this series is in the same location.

I’m not really sure of the actual plot of these books, but I know they are connected to Dreamland Billionares and I am hyped to read it.

They didn’t have any of Asher’s books that she wrote before Dreamland Billionares, but dang I would’ve loved to get those.

The last book I picked up was the first in the brown sisters series by Talia Hibbert. I wish my BAM had more of her books! I was interested in books outside of this series, too.

I am hoping to read this very soon! I really loved Guarding Temptation by her and want to read more from her. I know I have another one her books on my Kindle, but I don’t remember what it is.

I know this series is POC, it has chronic illness representation, and I think has some sore of neurodiverse character/s.
